Can a male plant become a female or hermi?

A friend told me that he read somewhere that male plants can turn hermi. I tried to do a search on this but couldn't find anything. I've asked around and nobody really knows for sure. I know that when a female plant gets stressed she can turn hermi. But is it possible for a male plant to go hermi?

Yes, males can herm.
But they're still males and therefore next to useless.
I wouldn't keep a known male around long enough to find out if it's going to go herm on me!

As a matter of fact I can go to my growroom right now- well, when I get home- and produce photos of a plant which first produced male sex parts and I removed it from the flower room.
I put it back in veg as it was from genetics I wanted to keep around, and the next day noticed it was also starting to produce female sex parts.

So before you tell someone they're full of beans, you should know what you're talking about.
