hash problems

i have had some problems making hash. i used the silk screen method, as shown on pot tv, but my hash does not turn dark or stick togather that much. could i be sifting too hard, or could it be because i used a lot of fan leaves and such?

methinks ya dont have enough trichrome laden herb in there. fan leaves and the such without visible trichromes are only worth cooking or making honey oil. :D hope that helps a little
