on average how long to you vegitate before you switch over to 12/12 for flowering? i was thinking around 30 days or untill the plant was 1ft tall, once its in the flowering stage how long does it need 12/12 on average?

At least two weeks veg, then a couple months for 12/12.

Can be anytime you want. Some people switch to 12/12 when the plants are 3ft in height, some when it's 1ft in height. I have flowered a plant as small as 5inches when I switched to 12/12.

It all depends on your height restrictions, and if time is a factor or not, but of course, shorter veg. time means less yeild, so it's all up to the growers personal prefrences.

For as long as it takes for the plant to mature and go to alternating node placement.

I know people that had some nearly full 100% satvias that took 4-5 weeks on 12/12 before flowering. It was an unknown freebie give-away from seedbay called 007 and it got to about 5-6 tall w/o starting to flower and he had to cut it down for some reason most likely because of room size. But normally I go a month and than into 12/12 but I stick to mainly Indica sided strains.
