View Full Version : when to stop using Neem Oil?
StinkyAttic, or any of you other wise ones out there....help a newbie out here......you said to stop using Neem Oil (for Powdery Mildew) "during the last 3 weeks of flowering"......how do I know that?....what to look for?.....any good sites to recommend about the stages...everyone I've seen is kinda vague.....I would imagine once solid buds are formed...
grateful for your advice.

Solid buds- yup, if neem gets in the buds they'll be NASTY.
So from the time you first see sex, you've got about 2 weeks to deal with the problem. After that, you risk smoking fungicide.
Remember average flower time is 8-9 weeks. Sex shows during the second week for males and a few days later for females.

Look for development of sex parts rather than how much crystal is forming. How far along are they? Do you see hairs yet, do you have pics?

Hey Aaron, saw your aug 22 pics. Nice Mugo pines :D Nice plant.
Since you don't have any real bud mass yet, you can still neem it. It's when the buds are starting to fatten that you want to avoid spraying them, becasue as they grow the odor of neem oil will cling to them. You can still spary the low leaves after that though, which isn't a bad idea outdoors where who-all knows what pests are lurking.
