Ebb and Flow tray size

My new system is an ebb and flow.

I will have four plants in their own mesh pots with hydroton.

My question is what is the depth of tray that i will need for this.

my friend uses a 2'x4' about 8" deep. Currently 10 plants just out of cloning stage with 400w hps. They are also in the smaller sized mesh pots of medium size. So far, EXCELLENT! It is 24gal PM me for more info

I have an American Hydroponic Bigfoot and that sounds like what DD's friend has.Just make sure that the top your drain valve is lower than the top of your flood table by an inch or two.

more importantly make sure your root tray has no light getting into it
