Hi all,

Just put my plants on 12/12 on 600W HPS. Some plants have these light spots on the leaves and somewhat curling leaves. After searching the archives, it seems like a rootbound problem. The plants that have this problem, all have been given Xrooting, some new product that I got from the growshop to try out. I checked the pots and its all roots. When I water, it immediately exits the pots.

So I guess the correct procedure would be to repot right? Would it be a good idead to flush them while repotting?

Yea, over watering if water is coming out immediately you should definitely go a day without watering. An analogue soil moisture meter is inexpensive from a garden center. It helps to identify how the mosture level changes throughout the depth of the pot as the probe is pushed through the soil. If the directions say to keep using your root hormone for a few weeks into flower, then do so. Can u take photos of the spots u speak of and post them. How big are your pots and what are the dimensions of your plants? We use 10L and grow upto 3 1/2 ft plants that yeild around 60g each when dry. Your pots have to be adequately sized.

what size pots are they? If youve just started 12/12 it probably isnt as much of a worry, but if you are repotting, do it ASAP because repotting during flowering can stress them enough to go hermie. Happened to me once. Since then, I am very paranoid and I do not remove the plant from the pot unless I either cut the entire thing off or cut the bottom off and set it in a new pot. air tools or a dremel make this a 3 minute clean procedure. saws are a little more difficult but ive done it.

if your not paranoid...then repotting a few days into flowering really shouldnt affect anything, just a some recovery time.

Overwatering? I'm surprised by that. Watering them at the most each other day and I stick my fingers in the soil each day to check. I can imagine though that the bottom half of the pot where my finger cant reach is wet. Will get a soil meter next week when salary arrives :)

Nice tip on the repotting. I also saw a thread in the faq about repotting with low stress.

Will make pictures when I get home. I'm only on day two of 12/12 cycle with a healthy dose of paranoia ;)

like said above just chop off the very bottom of your pot and place it ontop of another pot filled with soil and the roots will make thier way down
