Thinking about getting into R/C heli's and planes. I have a gas powered R/C car that I bought in NYC and I mess around with that every so often. But since I live in Texas now and there is sooooooooooo much open space, time to shoot higher...pun intended.

I have a Losi JRX pro buggy
it has mod motor
hydra drive
Ti tie rods and carbon chasis
Tekin speed controler
Futaba servos.....
It will do a wheelie down the street about 200 yards with the right tweak, and gears.
My little brother and I used to race them... he worked at a Hobby shop it was cool
Im not a huge fan of gas, but they are getting better.
Electric allways starts....................peace

Once upon a time I was pretty well known in my area with the old school RC-10s and RC-10Ts.....
I was a pretty much straight out the box guy until being invited to a few events where the big guys WITHOUT sponsors helped me shaved the weight off the cars and trucks.
I have some smooth looking trophies from New Jersey, a track in Queens NY and one from Florida. My 15 minutes of fame never reached gas driven but I loved the electric.
I still have my 2 cars and 2 trucks.....plus one old Turbo Optima from the late 80s in mint condition all with custom bodies.
I almost cried when I saw this thread ......wicked !!!!

4wheel driven with a chain I later updated to a belt.
I miss those days of trickle charging and then topping them off with a slight pulse.
Ever hear of the Velodrome ??
I was there the day that kid named Clausen ran 71 or 72 mph with his electric car....DAYYUMM !!

I would love to have an RC Plane or Helicopter, ooohhh the possiblities....
I don't have any body off pics right this sec, but here is a few more crawling shots.
a couple more... Rc crawlig is kind of like the real thing (same physics, smaller scale) and its way fun :rasta:
damn thats cool , i always wanted to try making one of those, but i figured i wouldent be able to, does it still go fast or did you change out the motor for more lowspeed but lots of tq?
yeah, most people put rc lathe motors in them. They only go a few miles an hour but will crawl over anything ;)
man thats way way cool your gonna get me back in to rc's damn you haha i used to have a kyosho inferno and rc-10gt and some others here and there gas and electric, whats the build price on a crawler?
If you budget and ebay and hit up bulletin boards for parts you can be in a decent one for around three hundred. Better parts... more money. Mine was about $600 (all electronics, radio, charger etc...)
Check out rccrawler.com/forum and go to the tlt section and the scale section for all the parts info and building specs you'll need.
