i LOVE A'dam, the best city in the world for getting :stoned:

have you been to Amsterdam?
i know there's many shops to choose from but if you could pick just one what would be your favourite coffeeshop? and why.


mine is 'dutch flowers' it's a lovely little shop, with by far the best weed/hash i've ever smoked. the choice is extensive, think menu at a chinese resturant, you can get lost in the choice available, weed/hash from all over the world and at a good price. the staff are friendly and very helpful, just tell them what you like to smoke and they can give you a smaller selection to choose from. :thumbsup: i have never been disapointed with the dope here, pay an average to high price from the list and you want wanna leave. :stoned:

there's normally good music being played, nice and relaxing. they also sell 'bier' which is a bonus in my book. on a good day it's nice to sit outside by the canel, smoke a pipe, drink a bier and watch all the people go about there lives.

i'd like to know what everyones favourite is even if it's the same as mine.

You know I noticed that I have EXTREMELY different shroom trips in the dam than while here. When I trip out in the US, I can just feel that there is some extremely wrong with my enviroment, I feel fake and tacky among other things..

Over there I have extremely happy trips, burden free, but ive only tripped out 4 times there so maybe I was just lucky....

i live about 100 miles from a'dam

i like the effect of the shrooms there quite relaxed trippy, they work well with the dope.
shroom's are different in england too, i've seen a few people lose it there but not here.
the shrooms in holland are like the weed/hash goverment controlled so they say how strong there allowed to be at point of sale, there sold fresh in holland now years ago you could get them dry.

most shroom shops are pretty good there's one on warmoesstraat, i don't know it's name but it's a big(for a'dam) open white shop. they have good shrooms :thumbsup:

stones cafe is cool it's in warmoesstraat, some other places in same street:

the greenhouse effect(check before you buy)
coffeeshop 36(shit dope but great cakes,bonbons etc)
coffeeshop baba

just avoid tourist traps like the grasshopper and the bulldog

dude! trust me you don't wanna come all the way to the dam to buy shit dope in a shit coffeeshop knowing you can get better back home.

there are a few very shit shops. the best thing to do is ask to see it before you buy, and avoid tourist traps like greenhouse & bulldog.

make sure you got a nice warm coat, feb is cold, it snows quite often in feb.

150 if that's just for smoke it's about right, depends how much you smoke. i spend 70-100 a week. i always buy specials when i go to a'dam so always spend more.

i went last year with a friend, he spent 1000 pound in 3 nights, including everything travel costs, flight, hotel, smoke, food, drink, going out, smoking parahernalia etc. he did go a bit crazy.

drinks can be expensive, around 2 euro for a small soft drink in a coffeeshop/cafe, beer about 3.50-4euro a pint.

if you wanna save money on food and if your lucky the hostel will have a kitchen you can use(the flying pig did), go to a supermarket and buy a couple of pizzas(there own make will cost less then 5 euro for 2) and a bottle of soda or a few cans of beer. if they have a microwave you should be able to eat cheap every day. :thumbsup:

i've only found one resturant that's what i'd call cheap:

i had a pretty big bowl of tomato/veg soup followed by a plate of potatos and broccoli with another smaller plate with braised beef, there was no room on the plate for the beef, i washed it down with a bottle of heineken, it came to just under 9 euros, i gave her a tenner, 'at that price keep the change dear'

But this was 5 years ago, may be gone now. I also spent one nite in some place called the shelter that was like a christian hostel with no drugs allowed and a curfew, dont stay there no matter how cheap it is.

i don't think you can get peyote in holland, i've never seen it. shrooms on the other hand yes. there's a smartshop on warmoesstraat opposite the greenhouse effect, i can't remember the name it was a big(for holland) open shop, white, with glass cabinets all around the sides.

the flying pigs good, vossiusstraat is better then nieuwendijk coz it's in a much better neibourhood.

its 'melkweg' and yes there both still around plus there's a'dam arena, heineken music hall and countless other music venues and clubs :dance:

i went back in january of this year. i can't remember all of the ones we went to, except for the first: de dampkring. whatever we smoked there...well i've never been so deliciously faded in my life. :D the only downside is that it's pretty small and pretty popular, so there isn't usually room to sit down and kick it.

The Old Church, is the first place I go when I go to the Dam. You can just sit up stairs and watch the world go by.
The first time my friends and I went to A'dam we got off our heads on shrooms, just laughing our heads off. And we all thought we could hear people clapping after the church bells went off. so everytime they went off from then on we all clap our hands. We still do... Total freaks, we really are.. lol

A'dam like any other major city is very expensive to live in. i live in the south of holland as it's a darnsite cheaper to live, and there's more opportunity for finding work. :thumbsup:

I dont know any dealers in germany so Im gonna smoke my brains out real good before I go on the process of finding a reasonable connection over there.

We take it for granted in Europe. My mates and I went to A'dam for £70 each for 4 nights, accomodation included. That was in the winter, and the accomodation wasn't exactly 5 star, but all we needed was somewhere to sleep. We go about 3 or 4 times a year. It's the best place to chill with your mates
