Ok im just a little pissed off at barnes and noble right now. The last time i went there i bought a few magazines. One of which was high times. I had no problem at all buying the magazine. But today, I went in there, got some magazines, one of which was high times, and the cashier asked me for ID. I told him that i was able to buy it last time without ID and he was all like well that shouldnt have happened. I was so angry. Also i didnt notice anywhere on the magazine where it says you have to be 18. I didnt feel like getting into an argument cause i was in a hurry but next time i try to buy one and the ask for ID i am getting a big argument with them about why i should be able to buy it. So my question is, since when do you have to be 18 to purchase a high times magazine?

That's absurd. I cannot imagine what that cashier was thinking except that he must have been enjoying his version of a power trip. If they do have such a minimum-age rule on that magazine, that doesn't make a lick of sense considering that weed itself is illegal and not restricted to people over a certain age.

Call the manager and complain. Then let him know you'll take your business elsewhere in the future and will encourage everyone on a large, international online discussion forum to do the same.

It might be store policy, just go somewhere else. A lot of newsstands/convenience stores have it.
