hey guys right i have thrips in my garden m late in flower n sort of got used to them .. but i was told in here that lady bugs will eat 100 thrips a day given the chance.. well i was just in my bathroom releasing my fluids as u do.. then this lady bug bird flew in.. so i caught it and put it on the soil of 1 of my plants.. but im unsure if i have put the right bug in my tent.. this looked like a lady bird but was like more yellow orange rather then the red type im used to and it had spots ... so did i do good putin that there??? any feed back would be great thanks all:)

being that color, it may be the Japanese Beetle, (they look identical to a regular ladybug, but are more orange), which was imported into central USA a few years back to combat some pest .. they got out of control, and like to bite people ... :D ... no shit, the little bastards bite, as I found out while visiting relatives in Illinois last year ! ... but, even if that's what it is, it will probably eat any bugs pestering your plants ... :smokin:

yeah those little bitches are the plague--the Jap Beetle. Every fall they invade, i've had literally 500 in my house at once, a friend in the country had it even worse. Not only do they bite, but they fart, too. Probably great for yer plants.

Ladybugs have black spots.
But that's not a Japanese beetle either.

FYI: Japanese beetles look completely different than lady bugs.

It's not a JApanese beetle.
THIS is a Japanese beetle. They are most often found on roses, raspberries, and other cane fruits.
I like this pic because if you look closely you can see that 2 of them are humping.
