Hank why do you drink?
Hank why do you roll smoke?
Why must you live out the songs that you wrote?
Over and over everybody made my prediction
So if i get stoned, I'm just carryin' on an old family tradition

That's what I am talking about!

I can't sell my momma short on loving me,
I guess that's why she let me go so far.

Momma tried to stop me short of stealing,
I guess that's why I stole that car.

She told me not to smoke it but I did,
and it took me far away!

I can't believe I forgot to mention the Man in Black! :smokin:

Howdy.
Im surrounded by countless acres of field, marsh and woodland.
We dont have a population sign. But, there are a few hundred scattered here and there I suppose. There is a general store with a gas pump about a 5 minute drive from here.
I was born, raised in a small town...moved to cities as a teen and back to the woods now.
I dont see many humans these days save for the ones who come here for ceremonies and healing, and the ones passing by the perimiter cameras on their horses and trucks.
I dont enjoy going into town anymore.
Spend most of my time here, communing with nature. I prefer sleeping outside by a fire under the stars.
Country music, Im learnin'.

peace.

I'm from out in the middle of nowhere.. hell, I live in West Virginia.. all mountains baby! But it's a beautiful state! Backwards I ain't, but I do have the southern accent. :D

Anyways, I only like the old country. Hank Sr./Jr., Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Merle.. artists like that. Any of that new country... blah, it sucks.

I grew up in W Va and one of my guilty pleasures is bluegrass.
I went to all the bluegrass festivals growing up. One of the biggest I went to was called Stompin' '76, the amazing thing, there were more people there than the original Woodstock.

some Hank The III lyrics anyone who has not herd him yet you need
to check him out.
(Crazed Country Rebel)
"Well, I was rollin' by myself, went down to Memphis, Tennessee
and I was lookin' for a guy who had a mullet and no teeth
and I was trippin' on some acid a latino gave to me
Hey, I was smokin' morphine 'til it knocked me off my feet
Then I scored some "H" from my old Uncle Pete
now I'm startin' to feel like I might've ODed"

I love this line from Not Everybody Likes Us LOL

"Just so you know, so it's it's set in stone,
Kid Rock don't come from where I come from:
Yeah, it's true, he's a Yank, he ain't no son of Hank:
If you even thought so, god-damn, you're fucking dumb"

and on Friday night He'll do it all again.

Oh, He'll drink 'til he falls down,
then He'll order one more round.

And then go home with that bottle in his hand."

"I done so much trip, I can't look you in the eye,
You know I's tryin' to find that ultimate high,
An' I was hangin' with my good friend, an' his name is David Allan Coe."

__________________________________________________ __________

Well, I've been awake for eight days straight:
Well, it must've been them pills I took.
I been twitchin' an' turnin' an' seein' visions:
It must've been them pills I took.

Well, I don't know if it were an' I don't know where I got 'em,
But they sure did make me feel good.
They kept my heart from feelin' blue,
An' kept my thoughts away from you.

Well, there's blood on the carpet an' holes in the walls:
Well, it must've been them pills I took.
Yeah, the mirrors are all busted an' someone's cryin':
It must've been them pills I took.

I would walk the line with any of those ol country outlaws :D There is nothing I love more then bein a Red neck women. Its just who i am. I was born and raise in the boon docks:thumbsup:

Little Big Town 's Boon docks pretty much sums me up

feel no shame
I'm proud of where I came from
I was born and raised in the boondocks
One thing I know
No matter where I go
I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks

And I can feel
That muddy water running through my veins
And I can hear that lullaby of a midnight train
It sings to me and it sounds familiar

(Chorus)

And I can taste
That honeysuckle and it's still so sweet
When it grows wild
On the banks down at old camp creek
Yeah, and it calls to me like a warm wind blowing

(Chorus)

It's where I learned about living
It's where I learned about love
It's where I learned about working hard
And having a little was just enough

It's where I learned about Jesus
And knowing where I stand
You can take it or leave it, this is me
This is who I am

Give me a tin roof
A front porch and a gravel road
And that's home to me
It feels like home to me

(Chorus)

I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks

You get a line, I'll get a pole
We'll go fishing in the crawfish hole
Five-card poker on a Saturday night
Church on Sunday morning

(2x)
You get a line, I'll get a pole
We'll go fishing in the crawfish hole
(Down in the boondocks)
Five-card poker on a Saturday night
Church on Sunday morning

oh yeah and not to mention the good ol Mudd runnin :D

Haha this is a funny thread. I live in Bussey, IA. Go ahead look it up. It is population 55. (Yeah I know)

Anyways....I live amongst the cornfield, I don't have neighbors.

And I too say huntin and fishin. And to hear me say lighter would probably amuse you...

"I’ve always been crazy and the trouble that it’s put me through
I’ve been busted for things that I did, and I didn’t do
I can’t say I’m proud of all of the things that I’ve done
But I can say I’ve never intentionally hurt anyone

I’ve always been different with one foot over the line
Winding up somewhere one step ahead or behind
It ain’t been so easy but I guess I shouldn’t complain
I’ve always been crazy but it’s kept me from going insane

Beautiful lady are you sure that you understand
The chances your taking loving a free living man
Are you really sure you really want what you see
Be careful of something that’s just what you want it to be

I’ve always been crazy but it’s kept me from going insane
Nobody knows if it’s something to bless or to blame
So far I ain’t found a rhyme or a reason to change
I’ve always been crazy but it’s kept me from going insane"

Waylon rocks...
