I've got a little Purple Haze, and I noticed that this shit really makes me appreciate music. So I'm looking for a really great band to see live when I'm stoned. Obviously, bands like Pink Floyd that aren't around anymore won't qualify. I really like music like this when I'm stoned: http://www.myspace.com/thecoffindaggers Unfortunately, they only tour the east coast.

I used to love Phish live when stoned. But alas, no more Phish. Radiohead was pretty kickass live. Rush is awesome live. Rusted Root is pretty good stoned too; that primal drum and percussion stuff is cool.

Radiohead, Rusted Root, and Muse are my personal favorites. Muse is simply incredible b/c they use a lot of cool light shit in their shows.

Sonic Youth.

The stoners are nice, pass you joints, plus the entire experience was wild.

almost every band i've seen i was stoned at the time but some of the most best artists were:-

radiohead, ziggy marley & the melody makers, moby, stereophonics, tool, michael franti & spearhead, blondie, UB40, R.E.M, lenny kravitz, nine inch nails, iron maiden, joe cocker, k's choice, jamie cullum, prodigy, skunk anansie, skin, manic street preachers, paul weller, kaiser chiefs, franz ferdinand, placebo, david grey, bloodhound gang, red hot chili peppers, the Presidents of the United States of America, plus others i can't think of right now.

i know not all these bands are still performing but they were all fantastic.

artists i'd really love to see live:-

gorillaz, muse, green day, the strokes, the white stripes, raconteurs, ben harper, pixies, david bowie, manu chao, massive attack, goldfrapp, joss stone, norah jones, and loads more

Radiohead is kind of my Modern day Pink Floyd. Very high energy stuff live. I saw em at Red Rocks Colorado, we rolled up a bunch of Joints, it ruled:thumbsup:

well i was at warped like a week ago and saw a band ive never heard of beforre called ill scarlett, theyre pretty chillin, like sublime. and then they said they had a song about ganja, so me and my buddies lit up to it, it was pretty sick. another good band to see and blaze at is between the buried and me, i dunno if you guys would like them, they scream and stuff, but if you like that and can appreciate their music theyre definately an amazing band to see fucking blazed out of your mind.

Iron Maiden!

I've seen many, many bands live and while there have been some great shows, none can surpass maiden. In concert, they are just a whole other level of awsomeness. :stoned::jointsmile:

DEAD MEADOW- uber heavy, space-out stoner rock influenced heavily by classic rock, maybe a little doom in there. the best live band i have ever seen, expert lighting and sound tech...plus they have a very enthusiastic and loyal fan base.

Bardo Pond-psych soundscape rock band with doom undertones yet earthy, light and often ambiguous voice and lyrics. haven't seen them live yet, but i will someday.

The Goslings- freaky psych shoegaze band with a very small yet cult-like following. creepy band members put on a wacked-out show worthy of seizures

G.Love and Special Sauce- my long time favorite. Seen them maybe 8 times live, always high enegry shows, no need for fancy lighting or effects. Great for dancing at the front of the stage.

Clutch- another cult stoner rock band. Shows are always packed.

Mastodon put on a great show, the crowd was nuts, I went from the middle to the very front being pushed in the entire way. Man it was great, I gave thumbs up to the dudes who helped make it possible. It made up for the fact that I missed the band who I went to see, Cursive, because the show started an hour early!

My favorite band I ever saw high.......it goes to Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, but I'm bias.

yeah matisyahu was so so so good. i thought 311 was amazing too but it seemed like he kept forgetting lyrics lol. i liked when matisyahu sang a song with them that was pretty sweet. oh and yeah i didnt have to pay for a ticket. my friends aunt worked at the venue.

I was sooo stoned at the JT concert (plus quite a few margaritas...lol). He puts on a great show. I really enjoyed it. Not to mention, he is gorgeous!!!

I thought I would spend my 420th post talking about Justin because he is so damn fine:D

So who wants to hit the bong with me to celebrate?!

wu tang puts on some of the best live sets in hip hop...ghostface on his own also cause that man is always hype. Not the biggest cypress hill fan but I've seen them live and they put on a hell of a show....I haven't seen them live but P.E used to throw some legendary jams.

Saw muse recently, and while it isn't really my type of music theyre amazing live...biiiiig tripout.

lol last year I was chillin downtown (toronto) with some buddies during the day when we noticed a pretty big crowd of ppl at dundas square...they usually have a bunch of small local acts playing there throughout the day. Went to check it out and it turns out it was John Mayer doing a free show for some best buy store opening... lol we just chilled out on some spliffs and just laid back listening to his shit...good stuff for just layin around and enjoying a nice day in the city

But I can't leave out Umphrey's McGee by any means. I could go to those sober for god's sake. The skill on stage is too much to handle at times.
