How to determine if weed is laced

Hey guys, I know this thread has probably been done thousands of times but I was wondering if there are anyways to tell if your weed is laced. I'm talking about harmful chemicals such as windex or bleech that may have been added. the only way i can think of is to get your hookup to smoke it with you. If he's hesitant or doesnt inhale then beat that mothafucka down and getcho money back. Let me know if there are any other chemical stratagies such as freezing or checking the colour of the smoke or whatever. Thankyou.

Anyhow Shadowgate, actually this is the first thread I have read on this topic. Good topic.

Another test is also to take a look at the ash. Is is irridescent, hard as a rock ? This could indicate a lace or heavy load of ferts.
How does it taste if you pop a tiny nug in your mouth?
Take a magnified look at it. Detergents and most chemicals will crystalize when they are dried. If you notice a load of crystals not resembling individual trichomes then there are "unknown independant variables" present.
These will most likely dissolve on contact with water while trichomes will not. Isolate some and see how they react to water.

Become familliar with how a good quality bud will look taste and smell and make it a habit to check out your weed if from a new source.
And dont buy from questionable sources.

You might can tell by smell or taste if home chemicals is in your weed (smelling or tasting unfamiliar). For other drugs same method can be tried but it doesnt work all the time. The only true way to find out is to get high and report how you felt :p.

yeh, its really really rare to get laced weed,, cuz, theyd be wasting their own weed to lace iot with crack or meth or other drugs like pcp,, my mans will usually ask me if i want my weed laced with crack or pcp but im always like nah yo, but if i did want it laced it would be a little bit extra like 5-10 dollars, depending on how much he laces it, lol

The real question is: What would be the motivation of a dealer to lace weed with a drug that costs MORE than weed like meth or something to that effect?

And I'll tell you a sure way to know if your weed is laced: If you smoke it and see shit, don't sleep for a few days, or have a really different buzz than a good old cannabis buzz then you should know. Duh. :smokin:

simple, whoever you get the connection through... ask him if the guy is trustworthy and if he's had any experience with the herb

Well aside from a few good answers the most of you don't how to read. I did NOT ask why would someone lace it I asked how you could tell. Captain hanks thanks for your response. I think my method is the best so far. Get your dealer to smoke it with you when you buy it. If he knows something has been added I guarantee you he won't smoke it. Anybody else?

Generally, If there is any type of unnatural smell, there may be reason to suspect. Now, that doesn't mean everything, because sometimes bud just smells kinda odd. There's even bud with a really strong Ammonia smell called "Cat Piss"! But even then, one can detect the subtle undercurrent of that piny, skunky sort of marijuana smell. Like Captain Hanks said, getting your dealer to smoke with you is a great way to tell as well.

Also, you can try to "hot knife" a little bit of the bud. If there's anything odd like it combusting quickly, sizzling, etc., then there may be reason for you to suspect that it could be laced.

That being said, the lacing of marijuana is very uncommon.

Thanks platypus and Kryzco. I think the best/most simple way to find out is by using your senses. Sight- Check out the bud. Use a microscope. Sound- Hot knife it and listen for any unnatural sizzling. Smell- Does it smell chemically? or unnatural in anyway. Touch- Does it feel moist and wet? Taste- Pop a lil bud in yo mouth and examine the taste. Smoke- Smoke dat shit. Also, just by asking around, background checking your hookup is always a good thing. And make your dealer smoke dat shit. I know lacing weed is very uncommon but I've also heard that dealers add shit to the buds if they had problems growing and they came out rather weak. Thanks guys. I've come across alot of people who have got windex in their shit. They spray the windex in to fuck you up more if the weed is shit quality or to make the bag heavier. A good friend of mine accidently bought windex shit and smoked it at school and puked all over the place and got suspended. There are some real sick bastards out there.

No, I'm sure it doesn't happen to you but you think it does. I can understand how maybe you have a few dealers who don't flush their plants very well or something, but I think I'd know if someone sprayed windex on my weed.

First of all, we're assuming weed's that much heavier when it's been sprayed with windex, and it can't be that much more. It's a solvent with water and dyes. Oh, and everyone would be able to see bleach. Your weed would be bleached. It definitely isn't worth it on a dealer's side, because it's just shit you don't need. I mean, spraying someone's weed with windex is something I'd hear happening in junior high, once until someone gets really sick.

It isn't a common thing, it's just not. If it's one person doing it to you, go to someone else. If it's happening all around you, then it's probably not happening at all.

Well most of the time if you ask me I think people lace marijuana either because one, the weed is shit and no one will come back to a guy they just meet that has shit weed so they probably put somethin in there to spice it up and make people think it's good or two, the substance they add in the marijuana is addicting and they are trying to get reliable customers that are fiends. Or if your smokin with friends maybe they just like smokin laced shit or maybe they just wanna see you trip out for laughs.

i have a different opinion. the main point people lace their weed is to give it more weight. we obviously arent taking about buying quality herb from someone you trust. I used to hear stories pf people spraying their herb with all types of shit, from raid to windex just to give it some moisture and weight. If you know your dealer well than you wouldn't have to worry and be paranoid. That's my advice, works for me. All my dealers are my friends, so I really don't worry too much. Of course not everyone wants to be friends with drug dealers lol.
