I was wondering how much extra you can plan on spending on your electricity bill if you have 3-4 CFL's on an 18/6 cycle and a small desk fan on low 24/7? I am guessing its only like 20 dollars more a month, but i have no clue and i live at home, so i would like to know if i have to worry about the bill having a giant increase and then questions start to arise. I live in california if that makes a difference too, thanks for the help.:rasta:

I doubt it's $20/month just for that. Unless you're talking about those huge CFLs, the 125-watt+ ones (real watts, not 'equivalent watts') that are like a foot long. If you have a bunch of incandescent lights being used in the house, replace a few with CFLs and your bill wouldn't go up at all. It might even go down.

Like he said, CFL saves energy, not raise the price. So you'd actually get a decrease in what you usually pay for electricity with CFL's.

if you add 3-4 cfls to what your consuming now...i think your bill will go up about $10.00 Max

...also it depends on how many watts your using also...so just do some calculations and figure it out...

That's assuming he's been growing with incandescents, which he probably hasn't, so there obviously would be an increase.

hey arod just go to your parents and say" hello mother and father, i am a pothead. i am even growing pot in my closet. Even if you take away my plants you will never take away my memories!" then storm off.

or

if that wont work just dont watch as much tv and dont come on these forums as much and save energy. you could even put you fridge on a timer lol.

Hahaha, that sounds like a good plan. I might have to smoke some of my homegrown pot and then act that idea out, see how it goes.:rasta:
