cloning...where to cut??

Ive read that you should cut the grow shoot where it meets the main stem, but can u cut along any party of the stem, cause some of my shoots are like a foot long, but I only want my clones to be like 4 inches tall. Can someone please help me??

It's not that hard. Basically you just find a side branch and cut about 4 to 6 inches off of it at a 45 degree angle. After that dip it in clone rooting solution. After that basically just cut off any leaves that doesnt pertain to the main growth tip.
