Tips for smoking in a dorm?

Im headed to Uni this year and wondering whats a good way to smoke in my dorm room without a)/ making the hall reek, b). making anyone the wiser. My roomie smokes too so hes chill with it.

I wa sthinking just facing a box fan out of the window and smoke next to it, dont wanna use a sploof or doob-tube since they help, they just make your room smell like laundry with a bit of weed.

a sploof/doob-tube is a paper towel or toilet paper roll stuffed with dryer sheets. you exhale through the tube supposedly killing the smell. but it really just smells like laundry. and weed.

Yeah the fan's perfect. Just pull up a chair and leave the fan on for a while after you're done.... maybe some febreeze or something too if there's still a little smell lingering around.

pennywise is the clown on the movie "IT", and there is a spray called formula 420 that you can get offline or at a headshop. Eliminates all smell.

Lol, first off, Pennywise is the scariest fuckin' clown, hands down! Anybody who's anybody knows who he is, and knows not to let children be around him, ever!

And if you're smoking in a dorm room, be careful. I suggest only smoking hitters in your room, and even those might cause enough of a stink to reek up the hallway. I would get a fan and position it right by your window, so when you exhale, SLOWLY, it goes out the window. You're still not going to be 100% safe doing it in your room though, unless you have an air purifier.

If I were you, for the sake of paranoia, just step outside and take a short walk while you smoke, or either get in your car or someone else's and hit the road for a quick route.

Put a fan in the window, and if possible, put another fan somewhere else in the room to keep the airflow towards the window. Put a damp towel over the crack of the door. If the smoke detector is sensitive, cover it with tape. Spray ozium or frebreeze occasionally while you're smoking, but don't over do it or else the smell of the air freshner will leak out into the hallway and give you away. Never smoke a joint or blunt in a dorm room. Always wait 10 mintutes after you smoke with the door closed and fans running so the smoke can clear out. If you're worried that the smell has gotten out in the hallway, call a friend down the hall and ask them to walk by your door and see if they can smell anything. These methods worked for me dozens of times last year. Thankfully I'm moving off campus this year so I won't have to deal with it.

it all depends on the rules of the dorm. for instance at MSU Ra's can't even come in your room for whatever reason. at my college, they had to knock 3 times before they could enter. Smoke in the bathroom between the 2 rooms if you can.

We hae community baths, and unfortunately no cars... I'll look up the RA rules for entering a room. I'd probably only smoke J's walking outside though, we've got a giant, park-y campus. Thanks for all the help so far though.

Btw, I live on the top floor, so im not worried about the room aboves window being open etc.

Yeah it depends on the rules and how nosy the RA is.
I used to smoke with no problems back in the dorm.
All I did was keep the window open and towel under the door. Stuck my head out and blew the smoke.
Febreeze sometimes, not always.
Easy.

Oh, and yes blunts and joints are damn near impossible lol!
There was a normal smoking session and it stunk for hours.

The hitters are the ones you need.
I used to use a one hitter pipe and my roommate couldn't even smell it, yet I used to smoke like this everyday. His room was only a foot away from mine.

HOWEVER:
This method is only good if you don't want your ROOMMATES to smell anything.
I bet your roommates are chill as you mentioned and your only problem is the hallway stinking up. Well, it's real easy, just close all doors with a towel under it and the RA won't smell anything. As for the RA coming to your door for whatever reason, meh they'll be chill. The rule is AS LONG AS THEY DON'T SEE IT. Even if they smell it they can't do shit but that's just how it is here. Dunno bout your dorm rules. They WILL knock which will give you time to put away the shit.

Next door on the same floor these people kept smoking without bothering to close the door or ANYTHING! The hallway stunk of weed half the time lol! Yet the RA never did anything.

As for your stash, I used to hide it in my drawer and only a day or two later would the sun dry it out LOL!!
Some dudes I know hid their pipes in their computers.
Don't gotta be too clever cause it just needs to be outta sight for the RA is all. But I guess it's important to be clever if you go to a dorm with lots of thieves roaming about. I went to a chill upper middle class school so there were ZERO thieves. You could leave shit right out and nothing happens. The ONLY thing that ever gets stolen was food lol.

Know what these dormmates i know did? They literally used duct tape over their entire door (like around the gaps/sides to cover any air leak) and had a window fan and a doob tube. Quite insane though, that's the kinda method you would use to hide smoke from your parents if they were in the very next room of a 2 room studio apartment you and them were in or something. They were uptight emos anyway. They still had facinating methods though, gotta give em that. Just that it's too obvious to have duct tape around the air leaks of your door.
But wow, you could stand right outside their door while they toke a blunt and not smell anything! Really did happen. But it sucks when you're not allowed out of the room which causes the smell to leak. They get mad paranoid too lol everytime I kept returning they thought i was the RA.

i would only smoke in a dorm room on a need only basis, like where if you're up by yourself at 3 AM and no one's going to smell it. otherwise, get outside and take a walk around and find a chill spot. i love going for walks and then finding sweet spots to toke. makes it more fun. and you get to enjoy the outdoors. just make sure you're discreet.

oh thats right, forgot that the RA has hours until 12am or some shit.
Check their work hours.
Toke at midnight carefree and shit and you'll never get caught.
However due to the poor typical structures of dorms and the space.. you'll probably stink up your place.
No choice but to cover the smell somehow no matter what.. but at least you'll smoke all chill and happy knowing you won't get caught which is much better anyway!

if you blow the smoke out the window, you should have no problem, the smell will be gone gone in a couple hours, and if you have no common room, ie your door lead right into the hallway, just put a towel at the base of the door.

no, RA's are pretty much like parents. you can't do shit in the dorms. at my school, during finals week and the whole week before, they have quiet hour after 10 PM no matter what. no music can be on, no nothing. my school is pretty uppity though, its pretty much a college for teachers. if they catch you smoking weed they call the cops. same with drinking under age. you can't even be caught carrying it in or having it in any way. its honestly like having parents at college. i never lived there but visited there a lot because that's where the most people are. when my friend at iowa stayed in the dorms he almost got kicked out of the dorms for getting caught with booze twice. he never smoked in his room ever. a couple of my other friends did there but they had it set up with the bunk bed by the window and they had blankets so it was like an enclosed space on the bottom bunk and on the other end was a fan sucking out. unless you have something rigged up, i wouldn't recommend it.

My dorm had a private bathroom for every two rooms. It was adjoined in the middle. I didn't smoke at the time, but I did try weed the first few times in the dorms. Common procedure for us was go into the bathroom and close the door. Turn on the shower - with very hot water running. Get the room all steamy and turn on the overhead fan. Toke away. Use the toilet paper thing when you exhale. This always worked like a charm.

Of course, this is only if you have private bathrooms.

Otherwise, depending on where you go to school, I would just find some low key place outside to go smoke.

If you have access, use a bong. Only pack enough bud in the bowl so that you can clear it in one hit. Then use a fan/tube and blow the smoke out of the window. Vaporizers are good too. At my school last year we were all about "the flow" of the room. Tape a tissues to the window screen and another at the bottom of the door. Then you could see which way the breeze was going, into the hallway or out the window. We did that a bunch of times, along with a little Febreeze and it was all good.

I have the solution. Was smoking up with this dude one day and he told me he had smoked in the dorm for 6 months :) Heres how he did it:

First, the window has to be one of those push up/push down types, none of those wierd push out types.
Get 2 towel rolls prefer 12'
wrap them in towels at the edges and place it in the window. After messing around with it, it should be 2 rolls leading outside, insulated completely by the towel. Think of it as a intake / outake.

All the area between the circles should be towels.

next scram fabric stuff in one of the rolls.

Now roll a J and inhale thru the clear roll (one without shit in it) and light and smoke. When u need to exhale, breth out thru the other roll while placing your j and hand over the first towel you inhaled from. This will block out the smell in the room and make you detection free.

And BTW: DONT BUY AIR HUMIDIFIERS OR PURIFIERS. They dont work and ppl have been banned in dorms becuase theyre such idiots. No refunds either :)

smoke in your bathroom close doors with a towel underneath the door,open the window if you have one and remove any other towel clothing ect, for the meantime while you smoke. Then when you're done or while you're smoking to save time turn on the shower on HOT and throw some shampoo or bodywash w/e you have in the tub the steam and shampoo will cover up the smell, kinda of boring but sometimes you have to do what you have to.

well, if there are any roomswith solo baths you should find the people in them that smoke. at my college there was already a dehumidifier in it so we would turn the shower on hot and turn the dehumidifier on full blast. dryer sheets would be put in front of the exhaust for the dehumidifier and all the smoke would be filtered, we would usually hot box the bathroom and just clean up like this

Man I wanted some ozium so I could smoke in my room (i'm 14 lol). So I looked all over CVS pharmacy/supermarket, and they didn't have shit. And everyone said just go to a pharmacy like that.. So I usually just walk outside and toke, not hard at all unless you wanna be lazy.. And its very tempting to be lazy. :thumbsup:

I'm quite a fan of small portable single hitters. Ubie sounds really fuckin perfect.
Not only is it even smaller than my current pipe, but theres no smell!
And I'm quite the health freak so this means I won't inhale chemicals from the lighter and feel like shit later when I'm high.
Besides, I bet you get higher if you're vaping it even if it's a small ghetto pipe.

A small as hell portable pipe that you can even keep weed in without worrying it will fall out in addition to a healthier alternative to get high WITHOUT wasting all your weed in a fattening as hell firecracker in addition to getting higher than smoking with probably no shitty feeling later and most of all NO SMELL!

I also did the bathroom between rooms toke. Turn on the showers put towels under bathroom and even room door. Most schools ban scented candles and incense as fire hazards. Alot of schools kick you out for weed. We had the little floor nerd guy but we also had uniformed rent a cops patrol hallways looking for weed smell. Most rental agreements you sign at these places give you no rights, i dont even know how its legal, its not like a real lease. You have to let security in if they knock. I would always keep it, weed, on me. You dont want to fall asleep with it in front of you and rowdy roomy brings the heat when you are passed out. Be careful

Here's what we used to do:

Place a wet towel along the bottom door crack.

Open a window, have a fan in the room going out the window.
Blow into a cardboard cylinder filled with dryersheets out the window.

Turn off the fan during lighting periods if u have to, but keep it on when exhaling.

Don't make too much noise and be cognizant of your environment w/o getting paranoid.
