well here are some pics of what i have.....enjoy:thumbsup: 1 2 and 3 are my girls 4 and 5 are my super ghetto carbon filter.....all it is is a fan taped to a package of fish tank carbon that i poked a shitload of holes into.works though i just dont know how long the fan will last

they are bagseed from real good mids....been about a month from seed and they are under cfls about 7000 lumens.i think i am going to flower in about 2 more weeks...they are averaging 8 inches or so.i just got a new cab off the curb today so i will make it my flower room.cant wait to see em bloom.i also checked on my outdoor and can you believe i got about an 80% female rate.....very nice:D

You are going to need some new pots for flowering man, those big cups can't do the job :p . By the way they look, I would flower now to see the males from the females. They show sex between 10-14 days of 12/12 light cycle. You should wait until you know their sex before changing them into bigger pots so that you don't waste time and soil potting male plants ( MOst are always male ). You might just get lucky and have all of them be females. I hope u will have space for that :D . Keep up the good work, keep em green :thumbsup: ...

i plan on making one big pot that takes up the entire bottom of my cab for the ladies to flower in.unless i find something big enough and free.i am trying to spend as little but have the best grow possible hoping to show people how easy it really is.so far i have spent less than 25 bucks and i have a carbon filter!!!i will pobably end up spending about 15 more on bloom food and soil but that is it!my expectations are about 2 -3 Os.i am lsting one plant and trimming one for main cola only just as a test and teaching expieriment for all to see.gotta find some batteries for the cam then i will have more pics.next day or two hopefully.anyway see you all soon.

here is the new box.notice the pots that i just got....guess where.someones garbage!!!!i love FREE.wash them down and good as new.they may be to big though so i will still just build a big pot.pic 2 is the homemade panda paper black garbage bag-white garbage bag to keep light from leaking 3 is the girls 4 the light and filter.would have taken more of the girls but the batteries died:(

so i am at lowes today and i strike GOLD!!!!!70 watt hps on sale for 15 fucking dollars!!!!!gotta do it. i know i said i was goona go super cheap for expierimental reasons but how can i not?didn't have the cash on me so i have to go back SOON.but to keep it ghetto i found a broken window in the trash that i am going to use as a heat shield.gonna need a new fan.so my grow will end up costing 50ish bucks.still damn cheap and it has been spread out over about a month.

P.S.i will be putting pics of the outdoor girls on here soon so keep your eyes open.i still cant believe i got a 80% female rate:D must be doing something right:D

I think I know what you are talking about but $15 is just for a 70w HPS bulb, you need and socket and a ballast that are made for these types of bulbs :o .
Most people that buy their stuff from lowes buys the $50 floodlight that has a 70w HPS or you can go $80 for the 150w HPS floodlight. The Floodlights have the right socket and the right ballast that light these diff bulbs :p .

nope the whole set up.got it.the girls will be swimming in it as soon as the lights come on.i am doing 7 am to 7 pm dark.so about an hour and it is playtime!:D had to rewire it though due to a photosensory switch(turns the light on when it is dark)still gonna keep a few cfls in there to keep everything tight.i will put more pics up once everything is mouted.also checked the outdoors today...had to pull a hermy:( still got a nice number though.some 7 footers some 4 footers all ladies though.

Thats great news man, how many watts is that bulb pushing? Your outdoor plants are looking good. By next near, you can have I big mother plant of your choice on veg for as long as the veg season takes and you can take cuttings from her and clone many plants at once. SO thats 1 harvest every 2 months if things go right. I know you lik the sound of that :dance: and so do I, Nice progress...

got the light set up,but not how i want it.the ballast is in the box and the heat sheild isnt up.....gotta fix that tomorrow.by the way it is a 70 watter.i have to get a new fan to circulate air cuz mine doesnt work anymore:( figures get the hotter light and no fan.i ended up going back to the store and looking at the lights they had there to see how to rewire it.so it still has the switch i just put tape over it so it always seems dark.:thumbsup: cant wait to see how much differance it makes:dance: i took out some of the cfls..still have 50 watts worth though.i will put pics up when i have it right

wow im surprized your light go so hot i have a 150watt that i can keep within 6 inches of the plant no problem...put your hand under the light and how far away before it burns it could be deffective........

got a new cab off the curb tonight that is about a 18 inches talle hope that helps the heat plus i got the fan going.got to rebuild the carbon filter still and before i put the plants in this cab it will have the heat shield in it.for now i just wont run the hps with the door shut.got a new tv off the curb to and it works perfect:thumbsup: even got the remote:D so anyway i have some building to do in the next couple of days.i'll put up pics when it is ready

hey BLaQLiGhT i think what saves me is i installed a glass shield when i built this cab and made a intake and exhuast right next to the light plus a intake on the very bottom i can touch the glass which is 1" from the light and its barely warm to the touch.

Okay so our first cabnet wasn't big enough by far. Like the hubby said (this is the wife) The plants burned and got wilted. However at the same time they are LOVING the new light and the ones that did not burn are growing VIGOROUSLY. Especially the the one that was topped and lst'ed. Now about the cabnet being to small and as the hubby said again we found a new cabnet well dresser that we are gutting and in the process of making at 11pm at night LMAO the neighbors got to love us. We will update you and post pictures ASAP.:thumbsup:

well since the last pics the cab has been lined with foil and i have added a few thousand lumens of cfl.plants are averaging an inch of growth per day and most are showing preflowers.however i am not great at reading them so i will wait until they are more pronounced before i put up new pics:thumbsup: until then

Dont let it bog you down My first Cab Grow didn't go as planned. I doubt my second Cab Grow will be perfect ither. But by the fourthy or fifth try I should be better at growing. Im looking at future and not getting bummed out when I make a mistake. chekc it out

yea i was pretty drunk that night.and already in a bad mood.we trimed off all the dead shit and it looks like we should still do ok.about a third od the yeild i expected but this one was all for fun anyway.plus i checked on the outdoor....which is more my thing.i got some super chrystally shit with pink pistils(bagseed by the way:dance: )should be done in a few weeks.unfortunately i had to dig up the 8 footer due to it being a hermie.i did replant it though(had to)it was the wifes fav since the beginning so i figure i will at least get some good seeds and hash making material.i got another hermie with a growth pattern that i really like and since it was nowhere close to anything else i am gonna let it seed to.does anyone know the percentage of pure females from hermie seeds?i have a few pure sativas that are gonna become hash to.think it is to much stress to take cuttings from a plant 2-3ish weeks into flower.i LOVE sativa:D sorry about no pics but i will get you some next trip i make.anyway later:thumbsup:

sorry about not being here for a while....i was moving,not quite done yet.i will put some pics up eventually.my outdoor is budding quite nicely the indoor seems not to want to flower.:confused: been in flower mode for 3 weeks or so and still just preflowers on most.one has nothing:confused: i pinched the outdoor hermie the other day and WOW!!!!2 hits burnt me:D can't wait for the pink hair:D dont want to pinch her though.had outdoor pics but accidentally deleted them.i will more than likely be out to check on them in the next day or two..a few won't be done before frost but they will be happy as hash.

thanks for the compliment but i was nowhere near the shotgun.just very stressed and very drunk.if only some of my weed had been ready i would have been in a totally different place.soon i will not have to drink when i am stressed but instead roll up some sweet sweet herb:D cant wait shouldn't be but a few more weeks til i can cut the outdoor and 5 or 6 for the indoor.i can almost taste them already.

try just cutting the bottom of the cup out and setting it in some dirt or something, try to cause as less stress as possible

well,got my beans from nirvana yesterday.:D it took like ten days and i used a regular stamp and live in illinois.i paid cash.only prob is that i ordered white widow and AK48 but got white widow and auroura indica instead.damn it.i am just going to grow them rather than deal with the bs involved with exchanging them.my freebies were durban poison X skunk #1 so that is exciting.nice sativa and it should finish outside.WOOOOHOOOO!!my start date goal for this grow is november 1st.(i get paid on the 15th and still need my lights and fan)this one isnt going to be so ghetto but i will continue this thread instead of starting a new one so KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!!!i will probably start germ phase in the next few days just have to go get the superthrive first.anyway that is enough for now and the ghetto grow is looking alright.i will get some pics up of it soon.:thumbsup:

well dont know if anyone is even reading but i started germ and 1 widow and 3 auroura have busted through already.i use the paper towel method,then put them in their own cup cover that with saran wrap and put them in a box with a heating pad on low.i seem to have pretty good sucess with this method.i am also sprouting a stray seed that i found in my outdoor.i found my camera so i wil get some pics up soon.i also got a freebie light the other day.it is a 400mh with no reflector but it is better than what i have now. it will end up in the mother clone room but i will probably use it to finish the ghetto grow.

well all 5 white widow and all 5 auroura(which yes it is nirvanas auroura indica) beans have popped and been put in dirt as of yesterday.only 1 of the durban poison X skunk #1s have popped so far though.(The durban skunk should finish outside in illinois right?i am pretty sure they will but would still appreciate some feedback)once again i apolijize for no pics but the new stuff isn't exciting yet and by the time the lights come on in the old cabinet i am to stoned to think about taking pics.they are starting to thicken up nice though and the smallest one has chrystals to the tips of all the leaves:D I just wish that they were bigger.i am gonna be lucky to get an ounce off them.all for fun and practice anyway plus they have been through ALOT of shit so i am happy that they are just alive.well,later.more when something else happens and i promise i will get som pics up this week.:thumbsup:
