so wats a ballast? wat does it do or need it for? i wanna get a 150watt hps bulb do i need a ballast?:confused:

no u dont need a ballast just an adpater u can buy from local hardware stores for like $1...its plugs into a regular wall jack and u screw the bulb in...
a ballast just regulates the discharges in flors
