Ok, has anyone else ever had this happen? I had pinkeye last week for the first time, and now since it cleared up, the vision in my right etye is blurry. Even if I rub it, it stays the same. I have horrible vision, so I usually wear contacts, but even with them in, or with my glasses on, the vision in my right eye SUCKS. It's like the lens is dirty. I have an appointment at 5:30 but I'm really worried that it's something serious... I even had a dream last night that they told me they were going to have to remove my eye. :( I know, far-fetched, but eyes are not to be messed with! So, can anyone ease my mind until my appointment? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I have to smoke a bowl now because I'm so damn nervous. :(

Hi, hon! What'd you find out about your eye? I tried looking in some of my husband's books, but he has very little that contains ophthalmologic info, and he himself would only be of any help if you'd recently had some sort of heart -related infection.
Hope all is well with you and that the eye doctor was able to get you sorted out!
I may never venture into medical territory again myself, now that I think about it. Today was my second day of medical school, and I am constantly reminded how much there is out there I don't know. I guess that's why they have us reading and memorizing like it's going out of style. I just know I'm exhausted. But it's fun!
Let us know how things turned out when you can!
Its possible that the pink eye just left some lingering side affects that will clear up in a little bit? I hope your eye is better in a couple days, but remember worrying about it isnt gonna help it heal so dont worry about it.

Birdgirl- hey, how ARE you?? Glad to see you've started med school, I wish you the best of luck with it. Lots of kudos to you for doing it! It's going to be tedious, but well worth it, which I'm sure you already know. :) Thank you for trying to find some info for me, I went to the doctor yesterday and he did all sorts of tests. Basically, the pinkeye escalated into some other kero-something-itis and my cornea(s) is inflammed, worse in my right eye, causing the blurriness. I'm on all sorts of drops, but he did say it will take some time to get back to normal. But at least it was nothing too serious!
Tots- thank you for your reply as well, you were right! :)
Thanks again for taking the time to reassure me.

Glad you're on the mend!!! That must have been quite a case of pinkeye. Did your baby have it, too?
Today was day 3 of school, and this was the first day I felt like I might slightly be getting the swing of things--or at least feeling like I eventually will. Then at 11 a.m., anatomy lab met for the second time, and guess what that involves? Yep, human anatomy. On a formerly alive human body. Two days ago, we simply talked about the upcoming course of study and looked at skeleton models. From now on, we'll do gross dissection.
So I have some more adjusting to do . . . .
