I belive Dogma is where every thing wnet wrong, peopel got angry and picked up fully loaded ak-47s and decided to start blowing each other away.
If you look at the core of any religion, they all have about the same message, show you a way you should live your life peacfully and if you truly live the way the religion tells you, you will accept other peopel for whate they are and whate the belive in.
Dogam though is where it gets messed up, people take the religion and stretch all the laws and magnify little details to get the bible, Koran ETC to say wha they belive is right, wich usualy means the Koran or Bible is the only thing you can belive every one elss needs to accept it.
By doing this they get farther and farther away from the big picture of religion, wich is to live an peacfull life that wont harm your conscience, and accept and forgive people for what and who they are, not kill them or force them to convert.
Those are my thoughts.

look at the passion of the christ:
that movie made a lot of christians try to convert/blame jews and a lot of people took the movie way to seriously. im an atheist and i believe that everyone should have peace and freedom but i completely see how christians took that movie as a message against jews and to try to spread christianity even more
idk what kind of shit happened around were u live, but i have yet to meet anyone that became anti-semetic after watching the movie, i thought that the media blew it way out of proportion.

It's so true. I think the main reason many people don't believe in Christianity today is because its been warped it so badly that it is no longer what it was intended to be. People don't see that it is all about living your life the right way, and understanding everyone around you so you can show them the respect they deserve, without being judgmental and stereotypical. The world today revolves around judgments and stereotypes, and I believe that is why mankind is going down a path of destruction.
Since when has mankind NOT been about materialism? Think back to the very start of the human race, they fight over meat and fish, now they fight over money and power. Nothing ever really changes because all the negatives you just mentioned are prebuilt in the human design, taking away this would be taking away the very thing that makes us human. You really need to think about spiritual cause and effect.

Man is going down the path of destruction because the majority are ignorant, selfish, greedy and only concerned with the world as it is and will be within their relatively short life time. Mankind was a cock up from the beginning and will continue to be until the majority decides to change but that's not in the cards. I don't need Christianity (in its intended form which of course comes down to MATTER OF OPINION) or any religion for that matter, to tell me what is right and wrong, to tell me that treating people with respect and with a kind nature will make the world a slightly better place and make the lives of those around me better. I have a brain. And it tells me mankind is the cause of all the problems that MAAAANNNNKIIINNNDDD creates.

Solution: termination of cultures that promote patterns and standards that are harmful to nature and society, and then replacing them with a better culture. This does not mean we need to start living in the jungle again, smoking weed every now and then and not live in a modern society. Modern technology does not necessarily pollute. Wheter its used correctly or not, is basically based on culture, because culture is what teaches human, and human patterns are based on what the individual learns. Its up to culture wheter we are sheep, wolves, or....parasites.
If anyone thinks this is bullshit, then think about it for a second. Culture even determines peoples sexuality and people have different standards on what is or is not arousing, eventhough you would normally think that what is arousing here is arousing everywhere else. And this is for one of the most primitive human needs, not something as complex as morality, which is much more affected by culture than sexuality is. Thats correct.
