Right know I have 9 4ft fl light with two bulbs in them each so that's 18 bulbs. I saw a couple of people using cfl lights so I went to home deport to check them out, but the 150w only put out 2600 lumens and my 40w tube put out 3200 lumens. So I decided not to get them because it was $9 and mine was $4. But I did see a 70w hps light for $49 dollars and it comes with the bulb. I'm wandering if it's worth it or should I hold out and save my money for a real 400w hps. I'm just wandering how much better it would be then the fl lights. I have had good success with the fl I have 4 big bud females that are over 3ft tall and in the second week of flowering.

Thanks

I'm thinking you do as well as can be expected with a bank of floros. I use floros for cloning and veg with great success, and i even flowered under about your same wattage once with 4ft floro's, using a bank of sidelighting on each side, with decent results. A 70w hps will only cover about 1 sq foot with usable light. I bet you have a lot more sq footage to cover if using 4ft shoplites.

Another tip is that floros only provide useable light down a few inches from the bulb, so keep them very close to the tops, and dont expect much bud growth in the lower branches. Good luck
