Ok, so i know that MOST everyone looks at porno for whatever reason it may be. Now, i think it is a drug. Someone will look at porno everyday just to be satisfied and to get their needs out. Even if someone has a gf/bf they will still look at it because it turns them on in a different way then a relationship does. Porno is addictive and i don't know why. So, should they consider porno a drug? Would you guys consider it a drug or just an activity to pass time?

Pornography is no drug.
It is though a type of vessel, a facilitator if you will, for the male brain to release a hormone called oxytocin.
In males, oxytocin has a binding effect. That is, from where the stimulus originates...be it sex with another person, porn, whacking stories (fantasy) etc...the male will make an association to the stimulus and his ensuing orgasm.
A man will naturally bind to whatever, or whomever, causes sexual stimulation and or facilitates his orgasm. Some link it to a specific person, most however make a general link to which gender arouses them. ie...'She makes me orgasm.' vs 'women make me orgasm.'
Or in the case of pornography...'porn makes me orgasm.'

porn or sex for that matter can be/is addicting. process addiction are actually worse than chemical addictions. in CA's one can always remove the substance being abused. in PA's the entire addiction goes on in the head, removing the head is not an option. sex, like gambling, is all about brain chemicals. certain behaviors release certain amounts of chemicals which our brain tells us we like/need more. the more basic the act "sex" the deeper inside the brain things are stimulated, the more our "animal" instincts/needs come out. so yes, sex is a drug. "catch that buzz, love is drug i'm thinking of" r

Sex is not a drug.
Orgasms are not a drug.
Physical acts are not a drug. Yes an association to a specific act creates in the person's mind the exact thing to do to achieve a sensation...the act itself though is no drug.
The addiction or pursuit of a specific stimulus...a specific feeling and or sensation is not a drug either. ie...I love roller coasters...can't get enough of the things. It could never be classified as an addiction though. If ti were, it would be my own brain and body's reaction to an outside stimulus that I'd be addicted to. Being as the sensations develop from within, naturally on their own...would be like saying I'm addicted to my nail and hair growth.
Don't confuse naturally occuring positive feelings with addiction. Especially since addiction creates a sense of...need.

Porn is not a drug. Now of course one could get a psycholigical addiction to it, just as one could get that from gambling. But porn, sex, orgasms are not drugs.

Actually, one could say that the chemicals released during orgasm are drugs, because they effect your mind in some way. (Some really fucking pleasureable way, as it is)

certain drugs release drugs within our brain, we "feel" high from the "natural" chemical washing across certain nero-receptors, not the actual drug we ingest. certain actions/processes release similar or different amounts of these drugs. Heroin releases a drug called THQ & that is what we feel, not the heroin. certain actions/drugs release seratonin along with hundreds of other compounds @ the same time that is what gets us "high". OCD's mimic certain chemicals that release the "feel good" ones. one's brain can be rewired to release it's stores of chemicals by behaviors/actions. if you ask me, & i'm just an old addict, life is a drug, it is addicting! r:rasta:

Porn isn't a drug, but it is very addictive. I think alot of people look at porn to get turned on.
