These two plants started flowering naturally outside here in FL. Now the bottom leaves are yellow, spotted with brown, and drying up.
Soil mixture:
Dolimite Lime
Blood Meal
Bone Meal
Espoma Epsom Plus
The ratios of soil additives are added according to the instructions on the bags.
Water Source:
*Collected rain water.

Also, I added a little more blood meal, bone meal, and Espoma Epsom Plus (Potassium) when I noticed a few pistils on each plant.

The leaves have some material removed from some of the tips of the fan leaves before the problem because my cat munched on a few of them.
Also, today I flushed them with plain water and will wait and see what hapens.

I used from Scotts regular potting soil I believe... no additives.
I added probably around 2 teaspoons full of bone meal.

the yellow leaves at the bottom are only signaling that there ready to harvest man,but the spots,i got no idea.maybe your house is full of mites or your cat got fleas

I had some leaves that looked similar to those. What caused mine was the fact that the power went out for almost 3 days, so they had almost no light (flashlights and LEDs, lol), virtually no ventilation, and the heat got rather extreme (99.5 at the peak of the hot days). I'm not sure specifically which factor caused the spots, but before the power outtage there were none, and afterwards there were. I'm not complaining though; I'm glad they survived that ordeal at all.

argghhh. plant abuse ..i hate it ;)
most of the yellowing is where your cat has been at it
cats love to chew all the spiky stuff like grass. give the leaves a spray with some mild soapy water.thats stop the little bas**** chewing them
dont pull them leaves off though as the plant will NOT like losing them un-naturally. I messad around with loads of soils before i found ALL-MIX, and i never looked back ..only harvest if you are going to make hemp-rope ! - they ill reover if they have plenty of light, no fear (and no cats) - are they well drained ?
