I need to store weed for years... how can I do this? Should I vacum seal it and put it in the freezer? How long would this last?
Let me know....
Peace:stoned:

that or make some hash, although im not to sure how long either will last, that seems like the best way to do it

Don't put it in the freezer. THC breaks down when frozen. Your safest bet is to keep it in a mason jar in a small refrigerator with a low setting, or any cool, dark place.
I really don't think it'll be that good after years, though. I mean, consider the fact that bud is a plant. Would you want to eat a three-year old banana?

put it in mason jars and open them every day for an hour or 2

A family member told me when they bought a lot of weed they put it in the freezer to keep it from going bad. (But I don't think this was for years.)

I was thinking about this, but it's not going to matter how much light the bud sees, right? Cuz when I open the fridge, things brighten up quite a bit, but that won't really matter, will it? I suppose I could wrap some foil over it or something to block out the light too, then just throw it in the Crisper? Meh?

I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure light degradation need a lot of light for a long period of time. I don't think it'll be affected by the refrigerator light, since it's not a very powerful light and it will only stay on for the time your fridge is open. Of course, it would really suck if I was wrong.

Hahaha, yeah, that's what I thought, too. I just don't want to have to waste an ounce to find out I'm wrong...

im quote sure (like 90%) that the thc is always degrading. Here is a quote staight from wikipedia.
"CBN is the primary product of THC degradation, and there is usually little of it in a fresh plant. CBN content increases as THC degrades in storage, and with exposure to light and air. It is only mildly psychoactive, and is perceived to be sedative or stupefying."
So yeah it will 'keep' but it wont be a good high. Heres rest of the link.
