I was just wondering about Tolerance.
You smoke for a couple months, every other day or so, and your tolerance goes up. You take a break, and it pretty much goes back to normal.
But what I'm wondering, is, Does the tolerance (after smoking a lot) increase a lot quicker after taking a break, or does it keep the same pace as a completely virgin smoker would acheive??
I would do an expirement on this type of thing myself, but whenever I get some weed after a break, I'm usually too preoccupied preparing a very wonderful Welcome-Back-To-Marijuana night...

i am old but not that old

i am wise but not that wise.... but here is what i know.

as far as i can see, there are only three things u should do every day, evrything else? it may be beneficial to take a break from, from time to time.

1. Breath.... pretty basic, but esential.

2. Drink clean water... while u can go for some time without water, but it is in no way benefical to do so.

3. Expel waste from your digestive system... without being graphic... its waste...

Everything else needs to be moderated... to a point.

Three things that i think we should take a break from, from time to time..

1. Anything u smoke... Its smoke! give your lungs a break.

2. Food, a little fasting helps digest all that taco bell thats been in your collon for three weeks..

3. Speeking... yeah, sometimes we, And Myself More Than Anyone, from time to time needs to shut the hell up and look and listen to whats around them... suprising what the hell is going on..

So, I am going to shut up for the day... Peace 'Yall

From what I hear it will indeed go up much quicker then before, but I am hoping that it's true once your thc level in fat cells drop to zero your at baseline...

it's a good idea to quit now and then, your lungs need a break, and you will get more positive results from your smoke when you do start again ... I personally feel it's not a good thing to get into any sort of habit, or routine ... take care of your health, you're gonna need it in the future ... :smokin:

Uhm... Cannabis smoke doesn't harm your lungs. The thc kills off the pre-cancerous cells before they can make it to the cancerous state. It's impossible to get lung cancer through smoking herb.

It's strange you infer to take care of our health by not smoking too much cannabis, but anyone that I know who's over 40 that have smoked since they were a teenager, probably can't win a marathon but trust me, they're some of the healthiest and smartest people that I know. The alcoholics I know? Well they're people who's lives revolve around a bottle. And these individuals can barely put together a sentance, don't even walk straight when they're sober, and probably have some very bad health issues. This is why I choose to smoke...because I know these individuals who've smoked nearly their entire lives and they're not all fucked up because they like to smoke weed.

first of all according to recent studies cannabis smoke is not related to lung cancer, just tobacco. infact just like the people above are saying cannabis is actually showing signs of being anti-cancerous meaning it doesnt even have a chance to activate itself (this could do with how tobacco "closes" your lungs and cannabis "opens" your lungs through capilaries)

second, dont let pot run your life. i love pot so much, everything about it smells variety colors textures highs...its killer specially since my mom is a medical patient and i have access to it. but im in school and i try to focus on school all week and this let go on the weekend. find your bowl count and try not to get tore up on sunday. learn to enjoy weed to the extent that you dont need it all the time.

also tolerance by definition is your body trying to get rid of the leftover shit. so it takes more to get you where you wanna be after a while but weed tolerance is kinda different. it goes down and its always moving up and down. so you dont go back down to "0" like you all keep saying, its a swing. for every step you go toward euphoria you are going to withdrawl that pain if that makes sence.

saying it doesnt harm ur lungs is misleading... while it doesnt cause lung cancer there is still tar and stuff from the burning weed... that still gets in your lungs

I havnt taken a break for almost 4 years, because i have no willpower, but i dont see the point tbh. My lungs are fine, and for some reason i have no tolerance, a cuple of hits on a joint and im fucked, same as when i first started...

I smoked some purple haze the day before yesterday, and it took me more to get really fucked up yesterday, the high is not as good the day after a lot of weed. If I smoke every other day though I can get fucked up easily.

well remeber that when u first start smoking you probably only smoked a bowl or 2 a day... and even if u stop smoking for a little while after you have been smoking alot like a gram a day your not gonna get the same kind of high just because your used to it you know what i mean...
