i have several mommas in the vegging room for past 2 months under 18 hr lights, some (not all) are starting to bud. according to all i read if lights are on an 18 hr schedule they should continue to grow and not bud. i need them for cloning, what did i do wrong and what should i do with the ones that are blooming? can i still clone from them or is it too late. also what would cause a newly poted clone to shrivel and wilt when all around it are growing fine? appreciate all the help i can get thanks

A clone shriveling up and dying can be a variety of things. If it is brand new, and all others survived, then probably got some bacteria or something during the cut.

Far as light. What kind of budding? Actual buds showing up or just preflowers? All plants will show sex after a few months of veg even without changing to 12/12, however they dont start actually budding (unless its an autoflower strain).

Generally I make a rule of never taking clones past 2 weeks (1 week ideal) into flowering. Pictures would help people give you the best advice.

How long have you been with the mothers? Is this the first time you have grown them out? May be an auto bloom strain like he said.
Clones, could be anything, that's just why you always want to cut a few extra. Also, with the mothers, some plants will get pre flowers while in veg.
