here is my grow , mostly white widow , big fat colas are northern lights 5 x haze , close up of play is white widow in it last week , ( complete darkness for her for the last 7 days , small single cola plant is a hybrid of hindu kush and nl5xhaze the nuggz are hindu kush

yeah a week of darkness makes them shine with thc + it makes them finish properly.

What do you mean by "makes them finish properly"?

And do you water during that last week?

i flush the pot at the 1st day of the last week using 3 times the volume of water to the volume of the pot. that is the last watering it gets before cutting , when the plant is in total darkness its starts to produce more thc to protect the flowers in a vain attempt to get pollenated before its too late . i wouldn't say it makes the flower bud any more but it helps the buds fill out and firm up. which means when it drys, the bud wouldn't be light and airy. the advise came from Soma of Soma seeds , i have a friend who is a friend of his , that where my nydc seeds are coming from in the next few weeks . i am going to the cannabis cup in november for a couple of days and i hope to meet the great man himself.

growing in coconut fibre and clay pebbles 50/50 mix
2 rooms each 4 foot x 4 foot ( 1 room with 2x600 watt hps for flowering) ( other room i have split in 2 top half has a 400 watt hps , bottom half has 400 watts of floros). each 4x4 room has 125mm ruck inline fan + 125 mm cann carbon filter + 7in desk fan . i use general hydroponic's 3 part feed and i feed everytime i water . the last 14 days i give general hydroponics ripen for 7 days then flush and put into darkness for the last 7 days.
