So in short, Hello. :D

I'm from Poland and Live in the USA. I travel to Europe and recently returned from Amsterdam. Great place. I have devoted a good part of my time to the study of various issues regarding our society today with cannabis and it's uses being one of them. I appreciate the great freedom of speech we have here in the USA. I want to use this freedom to discuss and lend my support and knowledge to those that could use it. I Believe that patients who are very sick and dieing or fighting a disease that could end in their death should be allowed to use cannabis meds to ease their suffering. But the law is the law and breaking it only strenghtens Uncle Sam's resolve but on the other hand it also strenghtens the cannabis activism, so it's a give and take i guess.

One of the things i wanted to see when i went to Amsterdam was how the society functions. We got a Hotel on the Amstel River and spent about 8-10 hours walking the city for about 8 days. I was very suprised to see how clean and civilised it all was. The people are very nice and are very free spirited. It's still a place where on a sunny Sunday morning, you can see mothers and grown daughters taking a stroll holding hands. Very nice reminder of how communicative that society still is.
The cofee shops were clean and i saw various people going into them. I was definitely suprised how many Americans were there, unfortunately they were mostly very pushy and rude. It's a big difference to see how relaxed the European society is and how tense our American society has become. There were no drunks or druggies anywhere. It was all very civilised. I saw mothers pusing strollers past coffee shops with outseide tables, their kids waving at the smokers and vice versa. Across the narrow street was a classy Italian restaurant with well dressed people sitting on their ourside tables talking. It was a very curious mix of social demographics interacting in a very nice and seamless way. I did not see any social division between people. I saw rasta looking individuals with full dreads talking up people in full business suits on the street and both laughing and having a good conversation.

Anyway, this has been my experience learning about cannabis, it's users, medicinal qualities and societies that tolerate it. I have in the past studies the abuse and use of Anabolic steroids and one thing that holds true with cannabis is that like Anabolics, it used correctly and NOT abused it's a great tool for life enhancement. We need a system here in the USA, a system with doctors, proper controlls and EDUCATION. We can easily duplicate Amsterdam's success and end a big portion of the loosing war on drugs.

Just some random thoughts. I hope you guys like me enought to allow me to stay. :)
