few harvesting questions.....

in these questions im kinda lookin for what fellow growers have done in their experience rather wthan what some say to do ya know... :D

1. ur supposed to wait until bout 50-70% of the pistils change color(or the trichs' are cloudy), but is that for the whole plant or the bud sites....b/c im bout at day 56 flowering and the bottom half is pretty much all white, and i was told to wait til round 60 days to harvest. should i jus cut the top half and let the bottom go for like another 1-3 wks then harvest that half? i dont wanna wait too long with the top half to reduce loss of THC, right?

2. im jus gonna hung them up in the closet there growin in to dry...should i keep the fan runnin like at low speed and away from plant, jus to keep the air flowin or should it b off?

3. Ive read on here and other sites to open the jar and keep the lid off once a day for like 20-30 min, but in the cannabis grow bible it says a few hrs..like 6...is that wha i should do or...?? thnx in advance for any and all suggestions..

would it b ok to keep the jars in the closet...the closet is in the attic, but its not too hot here....like 78-90 degrees F day and 60-70 night...i dont really have ne where in the basement to keep in in the dark... thnx

1. Correct. Some strains ripen from the top down...some from the bottom up...some at the same time. You have to play the averages.

2. I dont use a fan. I simply hang for 3 days...then I take off the fans...wait 2 days, then I take off the excess leaves and trimmings. I paper bag / box them for another week, letting them air out a few times a day, blowing into the bag to clear out the plant toxic fumes and hay smell. Then I jar them and fresh air them out every other day for about an hour. After about 10 days, they are dry and then I let them simmer for a month...opening every few days for a bit.

As for your storage, heat and light are the two main degraders of THC.
