Am looking to hear some peoples results on stresses on plants they have used to increase THC production.
It is well documented that environmental stresses...almost ALL of them, (except heat and over watering) will result in increased THC production.
Am interested in what some of you have used.
Snapping kolas, water starvation, high UV lighting, shaking plants, etc...
I am gonna snap some main stems on plants and stress the living shit outta them and try.
I am particulary interested in the almost dry till it dies practice. Anyoone here tried any of these stresses?
Thanks

Hey Harddon if the stress if good for THC production (except heat n overwatering) then what do u think about using superthrive? When should u stop using it in order to stress out your plants?
What I found is lst 3 weeks into flowering is not good, stops flowering of all but the main cola for a week, BUT that plant freaked out and was white with trichomes by the end of that week of "paused" growth, much more than my other ladies are to this date. stress + flowering = trichomes, as for actual THC production, i dunno :stoned:

I use SuperThrive about every other water. I would use it up til the last watering.
I was speaking of ENVIRONMENTAL STRESSES not chemical or internal stresses.
There is just so much data now that these plants produce more THC under these stresses...especially when being attacked by say.....
SPIDER MITES.
Anyone know of a good THC test kit? They gotta have something neat and handy to measure the percentage of it...

Damn nice to know, what about fooling with the light period or switching bulbs HPS to MH for a lil while than back to HPS????
So Harddon what other good stuff did u find out besides that egg,soapetc... reciepe; I know ur always about exploring the new and better ways of growing???? Maybe u should start another thread for that I bet alot of growers would like that, from ur stressless planting to ur UV/MH to who knows what else... OH one more quest, what was ur most potent strain you've grown? and do u think it was because of ur methods or strain?

I don't grow anymore so I really can't experiment like I used to.
I'm not sure the lighting would stress the plants enuff to create internal survival mechanisms which seem to be the impetus to stimulate increased THC.
As for the most potent strain I ever grew...or would ever grow again...is the White Russian or the AK-47 strain.
This creates a real problem as both strains require so much more work where odor control is involved. Its really really almost impossible to conceal the odor 24/7.
It can be done, but fuck...thats why when I did grow, I grew a bunch. The stuff is too strong to even be kept in the house in quantity.
I will say adding the TWIN BALL ROOT TONIC at the right time is indeed an appropriate stimulator of increased THC production. Other than that, I got nothing else to add....
....at this time....
