White lighters

Anyone else beleive white lighters are bad luck and refuse to smoke with a white lighter or is that just a thing around here(MA)?

I smoke with any color lighter that I get. But usually since I get see-thru lighters I rarely use white. But it's not because of your "bad luck" theory :p.

It's just superstition though. You get all kinds of stories like:

Yeah i have friends that believe that and i think it is dumb. Theyll take a full white lighter and smash it.I cant remember clearly but I think tho oboth the times one of them has been caught is from a white lighter but I don't know who.:D

Speaking of lighters, I had an old ass (and I mean old, say, four or more years old) disposable lighter from our local gas stations that I found in my parents house about 6 months ago, and was very protective of it (the said gas station sold to another gas station, hence, probbably being the only lighter in the universe from the original gas station, emblazened (sp?) with the logo.) until getting blazed one day at a friends house, and it was never to be seen again. I damn near cried, it was the pimpin'est lighter ever, and it was agreed upon unanimously. It sucked. I would pay a whole buck fifty to get that lighter back.
