I am American and I rolled this...

However, I must say that I learned how to roll from a buddy of mine from London. :smokin:

I actually never saw the cardboard roach in a joint until I went to BC. I never seen it before, and now when I roll joints, I put a roach at the end. For a few reason. For one, I HATE the smell of roaches, they fuckin stink, and second, for the reason one, I don't like the smell, and I don't want to collect 24 little end pieces and roll up one more stinky one, so I prefer to just smoke the entire thing at once.

Plus, I never roll joints unless I'm in a group, so hell, might as well share the entire thing instead of saving 2 hoots.

Meh, maybe it would save weed but I personally dont have the time to make a roach and to be honest no one does we just wanna roll the weed up and smoke! lol :stoned: . Most people dont even know what a roach is around here because they dont have the net and is only exposed to whats in this city, which is most of the time no roaches (yeah...). i can roll british jay's, cuz i wasnt taught by a limey, but my US joints tend to look like un filtered cigs when im done except i do use roaches. the rim of receses peanut butter cup paper cut down the midlle is what i use.

pft, fuck cardboard roaches man. when i smoke that shit i can taste the cardboard. i always use an old glass bong stem to hold my joints. it's kind of like a cigarette holder, except it's glass... and the joint fits inside the glass tube, not the glass tube fitting inside the joint (as you would with a cardboard roach).

That's the most retarded thing i've read for a while. That means that one end is going to be COVERED in saliva and will continually need to be re-opened to allow air/smoke to flow through.
You guys can't deny that using a filter makes for one hell of a nicer joint due to the fact that:
a)Allows air to flow through enabling the doob to burn at a nice rate.
b)Prevents 'butt suck' to keep the doobie dry.
c)Makes for easy packing; the filter can be pushed towards the center of the doob to compact the contents to make for a nicer burning doob.
d)Allows all of the contents to be smoked.

When I roll, I always use a roach. I used to not to, until I met this guy from BC who said he had never seen anyone who hasn't used a roach in a joint, so were both amazed. It doesn't make a big difference, but I do it for a few reasons too.

1. The mouth end doesn't get all wet and sloppy
2. The mouth end doesn't close shut, again, due to spit, and if you have a smoker who slobbers all over the damn thing, it's can be unpleasant.
3. It gives me something to hold on to. It's like, built in roach clips.
4. You smoke the entire joint leaving no, stupid little piece of joint. If you;'re like me, you hate collecting dozens of joint ends and tearing them all open for a toke.

Plus, the only time I roll joints is if I'm in a group and with friends, so we might as well smoke the entire thing.

I don't care how other people roll theirs though. I won't refuse a joint when it comes my way. :cool:

If I'm rolling a joint and I'm in a hurry or it's just for me and the girlfriend, I never use a roach. I can roll without a roach so that you'll never get weed in your mouth and you'll be able to actually smoke it all the way down to the point that it burns you.
Also with no roach, you never accidentally take a hit off of a burning piece of cardboard either, that's disgusting.
I will use a filter when I'm using urban wrap cigarette papers because it just makes it look more like a cigarette.
Plus I don't mix with shitty tobacco, so maybe that's why I don't need a roach.

I have found that when you open a cigarette pack on the lid if you look under there is a lip that is the perfect size for most joints, ive seen some people make fancy crutches but i just roll mine up so it fits in and then use a pen to unroll the crutch so it makes a tight fit.
