So, after hearing so many people harp on about so many different types of biscuit, I decided to make a poll.

Which is your favourite biscuit out of the list, and why? I dont think that Custard Creams exist in America, so Im not expecting too many votes on that one.

Yep, not seeing a poll. If you're talking about cookies, then classic chocolate chip is hard ot beat, 'cept maybe peanut butter.

List? I think I have gone blind. ;)

The best is Little Debbies "cookies n cream" cookies, with milk. You can't beat a soft, chewy, chocolaty cookie. Mmmmm.

i used to make butter milk biscuits when ever i was high. i honestly never knew cookies were called biscuits over there. people should say the bees knees more often because it sounds silly. but i think the best cookies are home made. not with the dough you buy and cook yourself but when you mix it all together and everything.

Well technically a cookie isnt a biscuit, but I ran out of biscuits so I just shoved it in there.
And theres a pub round the corner from me called the Beez Neez. Its shite.

My vote is for "other" as well. The only biscuit I need in my life are the Disco Biscuits.

Listen to "Sweating Bullets" or "Helicopters". Both have been known to change lives with so many grooves. ~

Why are you calling cookies biscuits? Ive never seen an Oreo Biscuit. That would be gross. We put chicken on biscuits were Im from. And pork tenderloin. Martins is the king of biscuits.

Guys, Brits use the term "biscuit" to describe what we refer to as cookies. Ever heard of tea and biscuits? That's their way of saying tea and cookies. They just use a different term than we do, just as they say "lorry" for truck and "lift" for elevator.

Swizzy, you got a couple of votes up above from Yanks thinking you were referring to savory scones, which are our biscuits here and are served up a lot with fried chicken and/or gravy.

I'll cast a vote for Oreos . . . .

Howdy Bong,

Now yer talkin ! I thought that this thread was about biscuits..not cookies ! I was gonna say that scratch biscuits are the best, along with some good ol scratch gravy..be it sausage, bacon or red-eye !:D

Btw,for y'all folks not from the South, 'scratch' means home-made,by hand. :D

Have a good one ! :stoned:

Cheers Birdgirl, I was pretty confused when people were saying 'biscuits and gravy'! That would taste rather vile.

Gotta be the Jammy Dodger for me. The ultimate with fresh cold semi-skinned (greentop) milk.

I want some now.

I originally voted rich tea (of course) a few days ago but when I was in the city centre today and went to Tescos, I was outraged to find that a huge pack of Tesco value rich tea biscuits is 23p, so I now want it to be known that I consider Jammie Dodgers to be the best, as you can buy a pack of 3 for £1 from poundland.
