This the thread to discuss anything related to the Beatles. Topics might include anything Beatle-related... Share your memories, your favorite songs, current Beatle-related events... tell us about your record collection, what you like about the Beatles, what you dislike about The Beatles....the effect of The Beatles on popular culture...whatever you want. the posibilities are endless.

http://www.sitemason.com/files/e/eKj0aI/WebDung%20Beetle.JPG This is an example of an inappropriate topic. This is a dung beetle, and it's primary interest is wallowing around in feces. Clearly this is an insect, and is not to be confused with The Beatles, a highly-talented musical group.

i was taken in by the Paul is Dead scandal. I was in music and culture class and the teacher showed us many clues as to Pauls death.
Do you all think he died that night? :)
oh yes you can learn alot from the beatles anthology, in fact that was his prime teaching tool when we learned about the beatles.

they are my favourite band ever!

I love Abbey Road, followed closely by the White Album.

And my favorite songs on those records are "Something" and "Revolution" respectively.

The White Album is the first record I ever got as a child.

Kinda Beatle Realated (sp)

In 1987 myself and 15 or so other Deadheads had no place to stay during the Madison Square Garden Shows in NYC, so we thought it would be a good idea to camp out on the John Lennon Memorial Moasic in Central Park (71st and Central Park West). fifteen trippin hippies,a Doberman a couple of sacks of grass, and some liquid dose...we spent the nite putting drops on the spiders that were crawling around, smokin big joints, and laughing our asses off. in the morning(2:00pm) the residents of NYC flipped! bodies everywhere (some clothed ,some not) sleepin bags,Zig-Zags,Tye-Dyes ect all over. the NYC cops gave us three minutes to"Get Your Freakin Hippie Asses Outta Here,or Ya'll spend the rest of your tour in Rikers!!" We ran like Scalded Rabbits!!!:D

Anyone ever see the beatles playing all together? I have seen Paul once and Ringo three times. The third was actually like two or three weeks ago.

i like abbey road, followed by the white album. I really love that song "Glass Onion" and "Martha My Dear". Both are very short songs, but they are good. Glass Onion is a good song to fire a joint up to, and Martha My Dear is kind of catchy also.

The Beatles is good vibes , in my opinion. I have had several good times while listening to The Beatles. I took a roadtrip up to portland one time, and on the way there (i was driving), my friend and I listened to the Beatles and smoked pot the whole drive--11 hours :) imagine driving through Weed, california--when the sun is rising. Weed is a mountain town, and there were no cars on the road. Just me, my friend, the joints, the sunrise and the beatles.

Definitely agree. So much attention gets paid to Sgt Pepper but, although it is a great album too, I think Abbey Road is better. It really flows well, the tempo on some songs starting slow, then building up, then back down again. Just something about it.

Once me and a friend were driving through the Illinois countryside at night, tripping on acid, and listening to Abbey Road. It was simply incredible.

Funny thing about Abbey Road is that is was really just a bunch of random stuff they had. Most of the songs on the b-side ( I actually had the old vinyl record) were not even finished. It just goes to show the genius on their producer, George Martin. He really was the 5th Beatle definitely deserves more credit than most people give him.

Anyone into the Beatles should read The Beatles Anthology. It's mostky put together from interviews with John, Paul, George, and Ringo themselves and is a great read. Lots of great stories like how they were all completely baked when filming the movie Help.
