Anyone else got this? I bought a copy of the Collectors Edition off eBay last week, still havent installed it yet because Im waiting for my 6800GT to arrive (replacing a shitty fx5200). If youve got it, what do you think of it? How does it compare to the others in the Hitman series? Ive played all of them, I think Contracts was the best as it contained the best levels out of 1 and 2 and revamped them with some new weapons and graphics. Also, if youve got it, what rig do you have and what settings can you run it on with a smooth FPS?

God the anticipation is killing me. Im looking forward to this more than I do waiting for Countdown to start. I love that show. Each day, without fail, Ill plonk the Collectors Ed. DVD in and watch the trailers and listen to the soundtrack. I love the Hitman games, its like acting out your wildest fantasy.

Upon reading that, I need therapy. Or a priest.

i found all the hitman games a little too tedious, but i guess that's how they're supposed to be, so if u enjoy that, have fun

Well, so far every single level has turned into a gorefest. I just cant get through the levels without being detected, then just as Ive killed everyone thats seen me, the damn CCTV spots me. So I have to spend half an hour running around trying to find the fracking tapes. And this is on the rookie difficulty!
Well, the AI has certaintly improved since Contracts. I like the fact you can upgrade the weapons aswell, but a silenced shotgun? Okay...
Plus, it looks gorgeous on my new 6800GT. I could almost make love to Mr. 47.

It really does look that beautiful... until the bullets start flying around.

It's pretty cool....extremely hard in areas...and slightly annoying in others (having to wait for sooo long for someone to leave the room etc)

But it's a very cool game overall.

Im on the boat mission at the moment...I think it's called Death on the Mississippi or somthing....hard...

I beat it, got SA's on most levels. You just have to keep running through about a hundred times. They set it up so that the faster you move, the easier it is. You can get through some levels in under five minutes.

I've got it for Xbox 360, and it kicks my ass when i play it stoned. it's sooo real! when i did the "Better Watch Out...." mission with the santas running around, somehow i got a splotch of blood on the top of Agent 47's head. for the second half of the mission, everytime i rotated the camera, i could see it, and it looked like a little toupee

yea, im damn well looking forward to getting it.. if i can find it cheap. i just started playing contracts for the 3rd time a couple days ago. i dont know if my computer will run it though. (fx5700, gig of ram, 2.6 ghz pentium 4)... anyone know if it will?

Well eidos have released patch 1.2, which fixes some problems with the fx series of cards. It would play really shite on all of them because they cant support shader model 2.0 very well (if at all), so this patch lets Hitman support shader model 1.1. Or something like that, all I know is that it runs a lot better on fx cards with the patch.
It will run fine, as long as you dont crank up the AA etc. It WILL slow down in areas with lots of bodies though, even my 6800GT slows down in places where theres lots of people. Mainly when Ive shot them all to hell because Ive fucked up the mission though.
If you want to find it cheap, have a look on eBay. My collectors edition cost me £25 from Gamestation, and I looked on eBay a few days later and there was a (used) copy on there for £14... thats including p+p...
