There is "NO" Membership program in place at this time!!!

Ok, there has been a notice about this, but it slipped all our minds...There is no membership program in place at this time...that is why you cannot get any correspondence about it.;)

The membership was started under Ron, but Sundance has suspended the membership program.:cool:

If you are sending Money somewhere, you most likely are sending it to Ron. peace, I hope this helps...That is all I know for now.:confused:

Anyone who has paid recently, and made me aware of a problem...I asked Sundance to check on the situation.:smokin:

AGAIN, to anyone who comes across this, THERE IS NO MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM IN PLACE AT THE MOMENT.

if we wanted to be a subscription based forum we would make everyone pay
and like its been said, PMs will raise server loads

basically, everyone wants everything for free is the bottom line of why there are 'only' that amount of cafe members, but thats what makes that group special as they are the true die-hard supporters of cannabis.com and its community

The last I checked, Google / Yahoo will not accept paid ads from cannabis related sites nor will many other venues.
Add to that the challenges of merely collecting payment from advertisers, etc ... PayPal and other similar payment services will not provide service to cannabis related sites; getting credit card merchant account is very difficult for a cannabis related site...
It's easier to run an "adult" (aka porn) site than a cannabis site ... Google / Yahoo will gladly accept such ads, various payment processing options, such as merchant account, are more readily available.

beside being Cannabis related,PayPal has become pretty selective... I can no longer pay for my Usenet account through PPal,I can not use certain CCards through them either...

Yeah I support Cannabis.com, I just dont have a cc or money right now. But if I was grown and had a job $185 really is nothing and I would donate it and if this place is still up when I have the opportunity to donate and help I will do so. Even if it eventually shuts down after I decide to donate atleast I'd feel like it went to a good cause.

E-gold would work. But IMO its a pain in the ass to load up your account. Either have to 1. take a hit on the charges from exchange groups, or 2. post a money order and wait 2-3 days.

Posting a money order made out to cash would probably be best bet..

That or make a fake paypal name, and just have people pay to it for "services rendered" and make soemthing up if paypal questions it. Like web design or something.

Merchant accounts cost about $50/month on their own FYI... Linkpoint has them etc.

In fact Pay pal does work with cannabis sites. I used them for 6 years as the payment method for my book sales. The name of my site was growweed.com and the book was about growing hydro.
Another Urban myth debunked. Pay Pal are corporate whores and don't have a moral stand on where the money comes from.

I take it as SD was leaning toward equality in his posts here... I see all of us loosing Cafe status when the last subscribed "which was me I believe" has run out... seems the fair thing to do,or give all the status...
