If you had your light on 12/12 from the start your plants are probably having probs just cause that isnt natural at all. They were on a flowering light schedule before they even got to get through the veg cycle what so ever. They are probably growing weird cause they are stressed out big time.

the 12/12 cycle has nothing to do with plant size and stretch. If anything height and stretch will decreae.
From the looks of your plant it is leaning heavily on the sativa side...you may have a tall lanky strian on your hands. I would tie down the meristem tip to the base of the main stalk...this will prevent the plant from growing taller and at the same time...it will trigger the plant to grow 2 fat colas instead of one.
If any of you question pure 12/12 grow cycles..it's all i do...and I have never seen any issues with that style. Quite the opposite...any grower who I have turned onto it...has dug it big time...
If you know your plants...turnaround time is decreased while yield can be increased...and it works great for those gardeners with height limitations in the grow area.
Germ the babies..once sprouted...give them 5 days of uniterrupted light..switch em to 12/12 on day 6 and watch nature take it's course. I promise you will get into it...
peace
