Dumped 'cause of weed?

I was recently dumped by my boyfriend of like, 3 weeks because I smoke too much weed. What the hell? Has this happened to anyone else? It's no big loss, obviously because I honestly love Mary Jane more than anything else lol. But I guess it was doomed from the start seeing as he didn't smoke, drink or do ANYTHING. Blech. lol just curious, if not been dumped by someone for weed how about date someone who is basically straight edged?

There are control issues, early in relationships ... and weed is an easy target because it's technically illegal. If it wasn't weed, it would be drinking, your friends, your weight .... something else he would be trying to control.

Long term relationships only work when each partner has respect for the other's choices.

Crazy. Weed kept me much closer to my gf. Everytime I thought about breaking up, I just spark up and realize how much I really love her and how awful it would be if we broke up. However I broke it off and got very depressed but I'm over it.

However, she HATED weed like Hitler hated Jews. She had a friend that supposedly stabbed himself due to lack of weed money which is, lol, a crazy bullshit story but that's what she said.

I first found out she hated weed when I called her the day before my birthday hoping we could spark one up together. But mentioning it led her to screaming at me, crying at me, then breaking up with me but we made up a few minutes later. Twas still a horrible thing.
I ruined my own birthday for her just mentioning 'marijuanna' on the phone.
I told this story a million times on the forum.

Ya know.. back in high school I was against drinking and smoking and weed.
In fact, I hated them all so much that I even looked down on people who did any of them. So I understand how your bf feels. The goody types are really annoying when it comes to our lovable drugs.
You should really just find a bf who smokes.
