its not legal becouse no goverment can tax it its to easy to grow very hard to tax it and if they do make it legal the goverments would lose all that money that drug companes give them just like dr's get paid to give people drugs that are made for certen problems that people dont have

So is it normal that after almost 3 years of smoking, it has pretty much no analgesic effects on me anymore? I mean it definately keeps the sciatic and arm pain down, but it does NOTHING to my back and neck anymore. In fact sometimes it makes my neck hurt more. Yet it seems so many people smoke for 30 years and still get major pain relief. I mean... WTF?

Hi, I'm new to the site! Thanks for all the great info. I have a question, does anyone know where to obtain a list of doctor's that prescribe Marinol? I am in the SF bay area (of course!)

Phatty I also found it works when opiates just quit working. I have had a few back operations.
Pot makes it alot easer on the body, and no screeming.
Pain 14 broken ribs and the hiccups, screeming till you can not hear. That is pain , 10 on the pain scale.:chainsaw::chainsaw::chainsaw: :

Everyone's physical chemistry is slightly different, plus various pains use different pathways in the body.
Thoughts: Try other strains, especially something with heavy Indica for the body relaxation. Try eating your MM sometime, while it doesn't hit you with a soaring high right off it lasts longer and uses alternative pain pathways for relief.
Lastly, try taking a break from it for a few months, to see if it's efficacy is better when resumed. (Just like narcotics).
Without weed, my back would be so bad i wouldnt be able to work, and i'd be broke. I'd have no life. I wouldnt even be able to drive.

MM is also good for a quick fix in the even of an accident. My and my buddy were snow boarding last winter and he hit a jump and fall down and hurt his wrist (turned out it was a bad sprain) and he was damn near tears it hurt so bad, so I whipped out a fatty and we blazed and he said it did not make the pain completely disappear but it felt a lot better and it also calmed him down cause it was almost like he was in shock cause he was freaking out yet after the joint he was like okay I'm alright lets go to the doctor.

I have serous back promblems and have tryed smoking weed as a pain releaver, but for me ot does not work, there are people who talk about different strains, but we dont have the freedom in this country to pick and chose. I guess that is to bad, cause pain meds can really
mess a person up.

Another huge factor is that with hemp you can make, Paper, Cloth and Plastics. And you dont need petrochemicals to do it like you need for making paper from tree's, cloth from cotton and plastics from Oil.
The oil and petrochemical coroporations like Dow Chemical are the ones who stand to lose billions if hemp growing was legal.
And that money would go into the hands of the farmer and local industry. The global elite cant have that, for them its all about centralazation of power.

That's it exactly!!
Growing hemp is legal in vermont.
HEMP not MARIJUANA. Hemp has very very little THC in it. Marijuana will get you high, there's the difference.
But still the hemp industry in vermont isn't that strong because not many people are growing it, and when people do everything has to be made by hand.
For the profit's of big corp's to bomb significantly the amount of hemp being planted and harvested and then people replacing many paper product's with hemp would have to be huge.
Just my 2cents.

Can prescribe Marinol, just like they can prescribe morphine, etc! Convincing them is the hard part. My cannabis specialist wouldn't prescribe it for me- and forget about my GP prescribing it! My cannabis specialist said (A) I didn't need it for my medical problems. And (B) he said it could be a "red flag" if the feds found out (unless you are presently undergoing chemo). I wish you better luck than I had!- Granny:hippy:

I too have had back surgeries and it helps with the constant pain.
I also like that it helps to get me to sleep at night.

i just wanted to know if anyone could help me find out if i qualify for medical marijuana. i found out when i was 17 that i had one kidney and i keep producing kidney stones. im 20 now and they havent found anything that'll help. they dont wanna give me any pain meds because i have one kidney and everything is filtered through it. pain levels high (i mean come on, kidney stones) and i'm looking for a good alternative. plus, i've been smoking the shit for years so making it legal would be tight
