when you go onto peoples profiles you can either add them to your buddy list or your ignore list.

Well if you put them in your ignore list, none of their posts or threads show up on your screen for you

well what happens when they are on your buddy list?

Maybe you can like "forum message" them and kind of send a personal message within the forums to their control panel or something.

I wondered the same thing when I joined, so if I came across someone I liked or had a good chat with, I just added them for the hell of it. All I do know that the feature does is place a small "+" next to their name at the bottom of the main page. Maybe to find your pals a little easier?
