it was quite the process. first I contacted the Toys 'Я' Us, advertising division, to ask for permission to use their famous backwards R.
then I had to file a report, meet with the head honcho, take his lonely son out for a night on the town, etc.
and when I was done all thatâ?¦ I went into Microsoft word, hit "insert" then "symbol" then found a backward Râ?¦
copied it, and finally pasted it in this thread title. Any questions?
p.s. when can I have chowder?

It's not a backwards R. It is the Russian letter Я, which is pronounced "ya", as in:
Я говорю по-русски (Ya govoryu po-russki): I speak Russian
