do i have mites on my babys? plz plz plz help

hey guys i posted a post bout 2weeks ago of little marks on the leaves of my girls.. well i havent been able to get online.. now i have i read the old thread some peps said i may have mites.. i have more pics plz some1 help me... do i have mites?? some1 said to spray the plants with oil.. what oil?? i have a disnfect room clean spray... would sprayin the grow room with that get rid of the mites?? anyway heres some pics.... i would be very greatfull if some1 could help me out with this 1 asap.. i need some pros to help a slightly new grower out... thanks all:thumbsup:

ok so i just checked under some of the leaves and there is these tiny tiny black dots on some of them like pin dot tiny.. r these the bugs mites on the underside of the leaves?? or am i just thinkin its mites coz ive been told i have them??? hmmmmmmm.. anyways guys i will be waitin for a few replys...

Hey mate! what colour are those patches? at the moment ive noticed heaps of white patches on 1 of my plants... it looks like bird shit, or paint thats been dropped, but very very tiny...still not sure waht it is

Looks like thrips, the black dots may be thip-poo, the thrip larvae eat the leaves from the underside and the patches appear silver from the top. jalepeno & water or habenero & water (very weak) spray top of soil and undersides of leaves, try not to get on the buds. Do that every day for a week, they should not come back. or just ignore it and hope the crop makes it to its end (since they look fairly far along). If its mites? i dunno. I've never dealt with mites. Try turning your fans off and see if anything is flying around (adult thrips look like fruit flies), check underside of ALL the leaves (thrip larvae can be seen running round)

Can't tell really.
If it;s been 2 weeks ,with mites you would have tons of them now and your crop would be covered in webs.
I don't think thats it.
I think it's a nute burn or lockout.

thanks for ur replys guys .. well as a percaution i called my local hyro store i explained u guys thouth it was thrips i told him the spots was sort of white yellow and silverish.. he said its not mites becoz there is no webs.. and that ur probly right and it is infact thrips.. but he said as they are 5weeks in to 12/12 that i should not spray them with anythin.. he said the plants will be ok probly finish earlier becoz of the stress... he said if i see any mites or any webs bettween the leaves to go and see him and he will sort me out.. but as i see no webs im hopin i will be ok.. he said allso that when i cut the plants the thrips will all go to the top of the plant and fall off if thats what i have... so is takin no action the right move??anyways here is a pic of 1 of my babys a 4weeks 12/12

hi there well i looked under the leaves and saw 2 lil bugs running.. i called my hydro store again he said the same thing as they r so far into flower he would not risk sprayin.. im really unsure wheather to get spray or not... i just dont no wot to do.. i dont like the sound of dead bugs on my buds.. or the sound of sprayin my plants and fuckin them up.. do u guys think that i will get away with theaving them?? i have bout 4 weeks on 3 plants left and a little more on the other 2.. im so so so so pissed off now they are my babys and bugs have fuckin got them sorry for my language im just so fuckin angry at myself that i didn thave the knoledge to treat the problem early on.. anyways guys im gonna roll myseslf a big spliff and drown my sorrows

just habenero hot sauce from grocery store, like 50ml and 300ml water (any more and you'll burn up some leaves like me, till I got that mix right) really just on the soil and big fan leaves, (they hatch from the soil at first) so at least you'll eliminate any new ones, the ones that make it to adulthood will fly around and hit your lights <ZAPO!> the adults die off quick if you got lots of air movement blowing them around.

Go to the plants store and buy a dozen ladybugs and put them in your garden. Ladybugs will eat 1000 thripe, mites, per day if given the chance and they wil not harm your plants. Once you discover the nature of the ladybug your hate for bugs will be greatly reduced.

Remember to order ladyBUGS and not the lady birds you mentioned above lol.

Also, i've heard a weak solution of soap and water will take care of minor bug probs by spraying it on the plant. I'd make it extra mild and only pray for a couple days so it gives time for the plants to work the soap off before harvest. Maybe even spray the soap n water for a few days followed by spraying with straight water for a couple to get rid of residue. I'm reaching here, but yes, I have heard multiple times about using the soap and water.

I THEN MIXED 2 HEAPING TABLESPOONS OF CORN STARCH WITH 1 CUP WARM WATER. PUT IT IN A SPRAY BOTTLE, SPRAYED ALL MY BABIES IN THE BABY MACHINE. ALL THE LEAVES ARE NOW COVERED IN A WHITE CORN STARCH POWDER. THE MITES CAN'T LIVE UNDER IT OR EAT THIER WAY OUT.

hey daima no im in the uk....well 2day i went in my grow tent soon as i woke up and have been huntin them little fuckers down and flicking them off the leaves.. i dont think this is really helpin me as they are probly just fallin off 1 leave only to land on another.. but untill u or any1 else helps me out about how much chillie and water to mix i feel flickin the fuckers is all i can do.. makes me feel better then just watchin them run over my babys... my brother is goin out soon and is goin to look for some jalepeno once again thanks for all ur help that goes to evry1:thumbsup: allso i mite sound stupid.. but what is bombing the room??

I have been having the same type of white spots appearing in my plants leaves for a couple weeks now. I sprayed my plants with a little, diluted soapy water and rinsed the infected leaves, but nothing changed.

I checked the plants with a magnifying glass closely on both sides of the leaves, but never saw any bugs crawling around, so I just guessed that it was a pH problem. Maybe some type of nute lock-out like Jdog7000 said.

I will post a picture tomorrow as I will have my camera back then. Let's compare! :smokin:

ok so i will mix up some juice soon... but are you sure that i wont taste chilli in my harvested bud?? becoz that would suck big time i would rather smoke the bugs... well on that note ive been in my grow room all afternoon flickin squashing and rubbin off the little buggers.. there may be more of them then me.. but im a soldier just means more for me to kill:cool: im still pissed off as fuck but i rubed some buds on my bubblelicious and it really does smell of pink bubble gum yummy.. so i just use cotton buds to rub the mix on the big fan leaves and i spray the top of the soil just to lightly wet the surface correct? anyways thanks so much for all ur help i just hope this works and i dont taste chillie in my bud .. least i can say ive done my first cross.. bubbleliciousxbigBUG!!! :dance: lol...im off for a quick bug slaughter b4 my dinner... peace all

well ive had my evening meal and ive mixed up some of the chilli.. im just finishing this spliff then im goin to get to work.. fingers crossed .. 4x5 thanks for all ur help .. i will post every day with progress.. if i get to harvest bug free bud i will be a much happier man and deffinatly let u all know what my labour of love tastes like.. :thumbsup:

hey guys quick update ive been in my grow tent twice today i still saw some thrips but i saw a lot less then yesterday.. so either they are hiding from me bettet or my kilin wot i saw and that chillie sauce and water is workin.. so either way im a little happier .. but its been BUGGING ME lol see the thrips are they likely to go on me?? allso when i harvest if i have them still on my plants would it be best to cut off most fan leaves just b4 i cut so the bugs on the leaves will drop off and wont be on my harvested weed? and they will die after harvest wont they? like they wont start breeding in my bed room where i grow?

You should definatly do something about it before you start another grow in there or chances are that you'll end up with the same problem. Also, what about going over them lightly with a compressor/blow gun before ya harvest. It might blow off some of the good shit, but it should also get rid of quite a few of those little buggers. Hell, at this point its worth a try right? How many weeks till harvest? If you still have 5-6, keep with the chili recipe a bit longer man, just make it light. Like I said earlier, I have heard mild soap and water works also, on mites, not sure about the thrips, but i'd like to hear from someone else on the soap and water before saying to go with it. Again you'd wanna keep it to a minimum. I dont know, its a thin line for me between smoking bugs, or smoking soap hehe. Either way, live and learn bro. Make the best of what you have grown though ;)

Only dead bugs will stay in your buds.
I would use a couple organic bug bombs in the flower room.
Or at least some Cheyanne pepper spray every few days for a couple weeks.
This should do the trick.
There is nothing wrong with spraying your plants with organic stuff.

I would use a couple organic bug bombs in the flower room.
Or at least some Cheyanne pepper spray every few days for a couple weeks.
This should do the trick.
There is nothing wrong with spraying your plants with organic stuff.

I don't have my camera back yet so I can't post a picture, but I have the same EXACT white spots but no sign of bugs or eggs.

You think it is a pH problem? The plants are growing just fine in spite of whatever it is.

You should definatly do something about it before you start another grow in there or chances are that you'll end up with the same problem. Also, what about going over them lightly with a compressor/blow gun before ya harvest. It might blow off some of the good shit, but it should also get rid of quite a few of those little buggers. Hell, at this point its worth a try right? How many weeks till harvest? If you still have 5-6, keep with the chili recipe a bit longer man, just make it light. Like I said earlier, I have heard mild soap and water works also, on mites, not sure about the thrips, but i'd like to hear from someone else on the soap and water before saying to go with it. Again you'd wanna keep it to a minimum. I dont know, its a thin line for me between smoking bugs, or smoking soap hehe. Either way, live and learn bro. Make the best of what you have grown though ;)

hi there Blackrock i have been sprayin the soil daily with the chilli and rubbin some fan leaves to.. but to be honest im gettin so so so fed up of doin this.. on harvest well i would say 3 will be ready in 4 weeks.. and the other 2 plants in a following 2 weeks.. but if the thrips presist i will be checkin the trichomes and harvest early as i can.. i dont think i will go with the soap but thanks anyway on the info... i think when i harvest i wil cut all the big fan leaves off first and put straight in bags then i will shake the plant or plants in the hope some will drop off.. allso just befor i harvest i will expect the plant and kill what i can... i mean killin them with my hands is jus discusting even tho i use gloves still its not nice.. i think that seeing them in my harvested bud will bother me alot more then smokin them as they are only small and the dont even go in my mouth jus burn and turn to ash.. n if i have some wonderfull bud then i wont give a fuck.. just hope i dont see any.. if any1 has anymore surgestions on how to get rid of the thrips now and after harvest i would love to hear them.. im just so pissed coz my last grow went yellow quick in flower my girls didnt look to nice.. so this grow i was determined to keep them greener lewarn from my mistakes.. well i did watered them better used fets at the right time right strenght everything was great.. even now i only have a few yellow bottom leaves on my girls.. but them bastard thrips have spoiled most leaves with the silver marks they leave.. o well there is allways next grow.. allso just b4 harvest im goin to my nearest hydro store and im goin to get the right sprays and such neem oil wot not.. then befor i start my next grow im gonna sterilise every pot the whole grow tent and everything involved with my grow room so fingers crossed my next grow wont go this way.. i will allso use pest control from the start of my next grow so to prevent them buggers ever comin.. my local hydro store sells red spider mite preditors so if i get any spider mites im gonna get em.. them fuckers may have gopt away this grow .. but now i now what to look for all the signs n im gonna fuck them up... anyways ive gone on to much... thanks for every1s help :thumbsup:
