In Bob Dylan's song, 'Rainy Day Women #12 && 35,' the lyrics contain 'everybody must get stoned.' 420 comes from the title, as 12 * 35 = 420.

:: Highway 420 ::
In Ontario, Canada in the 60's, marijuana grew freely on one of the Highways. This highway was later renamed in 1972 as Highway 420.

:: The Date 4/20 ::
April 20th is coincidentally (or not..) the birthday of Adolf Hitler who was born on April 20, 1889. It is also interesting to note that the Columbine High School shootings also occured on this date in 1999.

I know that wasnt the reason they shot the school up (Hitlers b-day) but from all the research I did I came to the conclusion they did it because they felt it was their purpose and they were pissed off with these people. They're original plan was to kill over 500 (or was it 300 :p) people and crash a plane some where into N.Y. I was just saying they shot the school up on his b-day to remember if it was the 19th or 20th. I believe it was the 19th, I dunno :/ I dont care much for Hitler and I havent read about that Columbine shit in a long time so some of the shit I said could be false or wrong and I really dont care to research to find the exact b-day of Hitler, I just know I dont want another person like that guy ever :p.
