that's only some of what I searched for in 2 threads. There's many more. Most people here are pretty sick of this kid and I think it would be wise to get rid of him. He doesnt contribute much.

Well I went through his past posts here for a bit and found that he get flamed on quite a bit himself. Hey, not that I "agree" with all his posts........but in all fairness. I WILL be keeping an eye on this and PLEASE, if he pisses ya off that much, or any other member, PLEASE use the ignore feature! His posts/or whoevers/ won't even show up on your screen.
Have a good one!

I've been noticing everyone ganging up on this one member...
This is not cool, despite what "lies" you decided to believe everyone has the right to post here until they give up that right by blatantly disregarding the guidelines.
I had to delete some thread with people hating on this ethsfreshman.
Yes, he needs to relax.. but people need to lay off of him first.

personally, I dont' think anyone should ask to get someone banned! I feel we just need problematic members brought to our attention...
and Yes, that is what the ignore button is for, You can ban the member from your life by using ignore. peace

I was reading a post by him quite a few days ago, and he had a talk with a person made it seem like he wasnt gunna lie anymore, that it was all a joke, but then he does it again
he's the kind of person that'll rob a bank at daybreak cuz he's too stupid to know any better.. I think he should be banned, a poll or something to take care of this, its just a hassle and its making A LOT of people leave..
anyways, the reason I came to this part of the forums were to say this: (ties in with this post nicely)
there should be a "karma" system, but instead of being able to go over 0, if u get too negative, then you get banned for a certain time.. say 10 people give u -1 karma, then ur at -10.. then ban for 3 days?.. I think that'd work effectively.. (and yes I know about the ignore feature)

I like the idea of a "Karma" rating but it sounds like a popularity pole also. Bobbong addressed this once....We're are all on the same level in here...equal. I would say if anything, start everyone off at a 10 and if there are problems, the Karma rating drops; As time moves on, the points are given back automatically. But that sort of system would require some time in creating a computor program to handle it.
Good suggestion though, keep em' coming in!
Have a good one!

I'd just like to throw in this perspective on 'ethsfreshman' as I think it speaks to another post that someone put in the feedback forums earlier regarding minors.
I'm probably like most people here and wait for the day for marijuana to be decriminalized or legalized in the U.S. In the meantime, I and other smokers continue to put up with the negative stereotypes surronding marijuana and 'pot smokers'.
I'm all about having fun, but the posts by 'ethsfreshman' truly do take away from the overall cause. If anything, his posts and his behavior play into the negative stereotypes that most of us face and only give anti's more fodder to use as to why marijuana is so 'evil'.
Consider this...years ago, you could hardly go to a firearm forum without being bombarded by ads for white supremicists (sp) websites. Eventually, the public started to associate firearms with the white nationalist movement and the pro-firearm supporters were getting black eyes because the association was taking away from the overall message.
In effect, you have the same thing here. The behavior of 'ethsfreshman' takes away from the message that most of us share. He certainley doesn't serve as a positive example encouraging marijuana to be legalized. And yes, he does have a right to post and others can easily use the ignore function. Totally agreed. But again, consider the venue...you have an 'underground' website that supprots an unpopular message/stance and you have users like 'ethsfreshman' that basically 'represent' the community. I'm sorry, but I don't want anti-legalization zealots using posts and behavior like 'ethsfreshmans' as more ammo.
Mind you, I have my own feelings as to how young is too young to start smoking. But I would say in cases such as 'ethsfreshman', these users need to be 'censured' until they can properly represent the community instead of contonuing to play into the hands of those that oppose legalization.
