This is a first time grow from bagseed; for experimentation to get my setup tuned in and techniques practiced. I didn??t want to make the investment in good beans without at least one or two successful grows, would really hate to waste the money. Plus it has given me time to research many different strains, and which would suit me.

Here are my two girls, again on day 35 of flowering. Wish I had previous grows to compare with though. Imo they are doing great, a lot better than expected?since I had little to no expectations to begin with. THANK YOU c.com and all those that have provided years of their knowledge! Would probably be taking pictures of tall lanky plants if not for you!!

I am growing these ladies and a couple veggies in a 5x3x4??9? (WxDxH) cabinet. For lighting I have a 4?? 4 bulb T5 HO fixture and 6 42 watt CFLs. I had to go with flouros because of temp issues. Within 1? of the bulbs the temp is at a high 92 and fluctuates down to 89-90 when the house AC kicks on. Below the canopy it is in the cool low 80s. Nighttime temp is 82-84. I am running one exhaust fan (not sure of the cfm it was purchased second hand) and 4 passive intakes. There are 3 circulatory fans (1 blowing the length the bulbs, one blowing the length on the top of the hood, and one for 24 hour air movement). For those using T5s I found that adding the 2 fans blowing directly on the fixture lowered the temp in the cabinet a few degrees. Soil has been holding pretty steady at 6.5-6.6, and I am feeding every 3 watering (been thinking of moving that to every other watering). Do the plants look like they could use some more nutes? (wish I could read them better?..that will come though)

I will post more as they develop?.I can watch them filling out everyday!!

I don't know racer... To early in my knowledge to tell.

Though if they keep producing at the same rate, I would hope well over an ounce or two dried.

Though that is probably wishful thinking. No expectations coming into the grow, so as long as I get some smokable bud I'm good!

Any of you expert growers want to estimate?

Time to trade that Ninja in. Traded in my 97 ZX-7RR 2 years ago.....had close to 30k miles when I traded it in. Got a 05 ZX-10R!

Hi,

Nice sativa you have there. Also seems to have a good leaf/bud ratio. Based on the sativa-nature of your plant, I'll guess 9+ weeks total flower time but it will all depend on what the trichs tell you. What kind of ferts are you using? You might be able to increase your yield by making some fert adjustments. Congrats on a nice plant.

Oh yeah you might want to take a few clones while you're at it, just in case you like the results:-) It's not too late.

One thing I am changing for next grow is the ferts, right now I am using something I had around for my roses; Expert Gardner's Bloom Burst (10-52-10). One thing I do like about that brand is the amount needed for a gallon. MG needs a tablespoon, this I only use 1/2 teaspoon. It makes keeping balanced ph easy, imo. For Veg i used some peters 20-20-20, got it a year or 2 ago and almost out. Can't find it anywhere now... :(

As far as clones go, not going to chance the yeild this time. I have about 20 seeds left from the same bag, so next time I will grow a few more and keep some mothers if the quality is there.... Someone kinda cared about the buds the seeds came from in the o there were only 25 total... maybe they didn't catch that hermi..... or maybe they wanted to make my day when I found them....usually don't!

I have my pocket microscope ready!

I see plenty of stuff near the bottom you can safely use for clones with no loss in yield. Your plants are developing one main cola. The stuff at the bottom won't yield. I'd take 2-4 clones from each of those plants.. by the time these 2 are done, you'll have the next batch ready for flower, so your total yield would be many MANY times what you're gonna get w/o snippin'. Just my opinion...and I have lots of opinions hehe.

login, you plants look almost identical to mine... tho your buds may be like 3-5 days behind me. As far as leaf color and size of buds... we on the same boat, which is a huge relief becuase ppl have been telling me that my buds look small.

Only thing is the branches on your fan leaves are nice and green where mine are dark purple.

Whats your soil? nutes?

The soil is a mixture I have been using for years with other plants/garden around the house and outside. It is a mixture of Sphagnum Peat Moss, top soil, Earthworm Castings, Perlite, Coffee, newspaper, ground wood charcoal and earthworms. I usually prepare the soil two months in advance (in the late winter I make about 100 lbs of it and let it sit till I am ready to use it in my garden). For the ferts, I am using a product called Expert Gardner's Bloom Burst (10-52-10) found at waly world I use it usually for my roses, and decided to try it out. I left the worms in the pots too. Helps get needed air to the roots, imo. Plus they leave more castings behind, and are a great way to check the health of your soil....if they try to get out there is something wrong.

The tips that are burnt on that last set of pics is due to the leaves staying in contact with the CFLs that are about an 1" away. I didn't get to my cabinet for the first 5 hours of the light cycle and they were touching.

I imagine that the other slightly browned tipped leaves are a nute issue. Though, that is the extent of any damage to the plant itself, no other discoloration. Though I have also noticed that I am no longer getting multi-bladed fan leaves.... all just single blade for the last 4 or 5 nodes. First set was 3 and went up to 9 blades per leaf, then declined and is now at 1. I think that might just be the strain though, as I can not find any negavite issues resulting in the production of only 1 fan leaf.

The last 8 days of growth has been good, now day 43 of flower. The plants are starting to get a very strong odor, very plesant if I turn off the odor control! Smells like skunk, very strong skunk odor, though they only recently started to produce any siginificant odor.

I added an intake fan that is on 24 hours, and it did lower the temps by 1 and a half degrees. Thanks! The room I have the cabinet is the main problem the temps are so high. I should not have built it in that room, though in hindsight I am glad I did for this grow, or I would have had to move it.

The first pic is of the cola on the first girl above. Her buds aren't as tight as my second girls though I have noticed more of a width growth, hopefully she will really fill in! The trichs are getting on everything!

The second pic is of the cola on the second girl. Her buds are nice and tight and glistening with trichs, they haven't gotten on many of the fan leaves....though I think I will like that come harvest time.

The trichs are still mostly clear on both plants, when should I start to see more of them turn cloudy?

Maybe I should name them....might make it easier! Any suggestions?

Just a couple more shots of some of the center nuggets on my second plant pictured above.

I checked the trichs today on both of my plants and still only 5% or so getting cloudy. Boy how they Sparkle!

With no expectations coming into this grow, I have been please so far with the results.

With harvest time coming up in the next 3-4 weeks or so, when should I do my flush and stop feeding? Also, I know the 3:1 rule, but what is a good flushing agent to use to make sure I get all those nutients out? I would hate to taste those chemicals!

Yeah ate, just bag seed...

Any answers to when I should stop feeding and do a flush? Also, any recommendations for a flushing agent?
