My first plant

this is 2 pictures of my first ever plant and its all been done out doors no lights nothing it was just my prototype try with 1 of my mates seeds i know its a female im quite proud of it but i have no idea what kind of bud its hopefully going to grow me if it buds at all!
so hopeffully some1 will be able to help please !!!!!:thumbsup: :confused:

age is about roughly 3 months give or take a week
height is about 1 meter

and ive only used bit of miracle grow ( i didnt know much when i started it ) so many nuts now to choose !

nah dont bother with nutes mate, i used miricle grow just like you and my crops turned out soundly :). I recommend (if you want em to hurry up and bud with the last month or 2 of summer approaching.) You should put your plant into the 12:12 cyle.

WTF's the 12:12 Cyle?

This is a method used to force flowering on a cannabis plant. Basically you need to follow these steps.

1. At 7:00AM Bring the plant outside into the sun
2. At 7:00PM Bring the plant indoors, and place in a PITCH BLACK room

(number 2 alternative) You can just simply cover the plant if you have a large enough container, ie/ Large Garbage Can. This acts a perfect dark environment for the plants.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Keep this 12:12 method up STRICTLY, and when you notice that the natural hours of daylight are 12:12 naturally (mid august) you can stop the 12:12 method, because the sun will now do it for you.


Doing all this and making sure you stick the the 12:12 routine you will get your crop sooner than you anticipated, and the bud will be alot better because it gets to bud bang in the middle of summe :)


Give it a try mate, you shall see it starting to flower/bud in about 2weeks and you shall be very impressed on how this method works :)

thanks for the info mate my plant is in a dark corner all night from 9pm onwards till 7am
and im not awake at 7am to take my plant walkies lol so will 9am be ok

if bringing it in at night were and what is best i do with it ?

dark room obviously but what else?

tonight i have jst started the 12 hour light cycle its in my breezy shed but window is blacked out so very dark aswell
so in 2 3 weeks bud will be in sight hopfully
any tips still i should know ?

ya know what I did for my plants when they wilt, ok don't laugh but shit I use about 1/4 cup og Orange Gatorade mix with just water, like 32oz of water each I give them that 3 times a week along with feed 2x's a week. If you go back to my thread you can see pics of my girls about 6 weeks ago and then the pics of what they look like now, the ones that look like yours. But hey YOURS ARE LOOKIN GOOD!

i only feed mine once every 10 days or so with basic nuts
what should i buy to help it now ive noticed new growth near the pistils on the main stem (im hoping its flowering) ill post pic of it next monday or so !

They look a bit big for what I've been led to expect for LowRyder by the seed sites. Then again, the bigger the better in my opinion. Not that I'm a grower. But what with this being the most exciting Medway-Cann.com thing going on, I couldn't help but post.

Nice one Aaron19! You are a green fingered living legend. I think I might well try to get a LowRyder or two grown on my window sill at some point. I've not killed my onions yet. I don't suppose you fancy a trade? I'll do you a jar of homegrown pickled onions in return for a taste of the fruits of YOUR garden? ;)

ive also taken a clone from her hoping to grow a little test subject been about a week in the pot and still healthy and green wich must be a good sign its rooting

Hey Aaron, just checking to see how your clone is doing? Generally speaking it's rather hard to successfully clone from the flower stage, and looking at your pictures I'd say you're not in flower mode yet so the clone should do just fine. Unfortunately to make the plant flower you need to give it 12 hrs straight of uninterupted darkness (less then the light you'd get from a full moon) for a number of days. This would be a bit of a bitch outdoors, but if you want to force it into flower early you have to figure out a way to do it. But yeah, looking at the pics I'd bet it's still in veg mode. Doesn't really matter though, it's now mid august so as the days get shorter the plant will definately flower. Hopefully I'm wrong and it's already a few weeks into flower, but even if not you'll hopefully get a harvest by the end of October.

Oh, and gatorade is mostly water with a bit of sugar thrown in. Plants would eat that up (and sugar is very good during the flower stage :)). Fizzy watter helps supposedly by getting oxygen to the roots.

Thats a good thing to know about the Gatorade, my plants LOVE IT!, in just 2 months I went from ugly twigs to a beautiful 6 ft plants in blooming stage. Althogn my male plant liked it too and well needless to say after taking some pollen I had to kill it, but I have kept up with Gatorade weekly and who knows what will become of it right???

im going to start using sweet fizzy water soon then i mean its not going to kill it so why not the gas is carbon dioxide in the bottels not oxygen would that cause problems?
the 12 hour light is difficult to actually do because theres always the odd few days im not around to put in dark shed wich would stress the plant so i think im going to let nature take its cause and be patient

im not sure if its normal or not but my plant has a little growth at a few of the nodes i dont think there hermies they dont resemble male sacs so !
a few hairs have grown out of them
is it a sign of it starting to bud or nothing uncommon
(sorry this is my first plant )

It's carbon dioxide in the Gatorade, too. Generally if a gas is coming off your drink and you're not swigging from a bottle of meths, that gas will be carbon dioxide. So you'll be getting all the effects of the fizzy drink, without the price. Nice. :cool:

aaron ur plant might be hermie because u were moving ur plants around too much and FORCING 12/12. since u said that u forgot sometimes to put ur plant in, that definitley coudlve casued it to go hermie. u cant fuck with the plants light cycle. its gotta be steady EVERY single day

i live south east kent and its not to bad really we get alot of warm sun and frequent rain atm warm nights still so the climate im having seems to be good

And it only recently grew i only did 12/12 for 3 days then i decided to leave it naturally wich was about 3 weeks ago now this has grown in the last 2 weeks !

if it is male part can i get rid of it ?

Well again i am posting more pics oout of bordom and needing something to do

my clone is looking healthy you can notice the growth on the top were its all white

and my main plant is going ok recently ive noticed a few brown patches on the leaves but im hoping its the weather because weve had heavy rain and blazzing hot heat on and off all week happening 5 times a day
so hopefully just burn marks of the rain !!

When should i buy some bloom for my plant when it buds?
i have a very good flowering nutrient i brought wich is in use atm

i have noticed that some of the older pistils that have been there for a few months now have turned orange colour ?
there are still more growing though !
my plant is coming up to 5 months now roughly
should i pick any big leaves off so the light can get right into my plant or just leave them there ?

im allowed to grow a few more next year yeay do it proply now ive had abit of xp with it

hey goof ball.. those leaves are not blocking the light.. they are absorbing light and doing the PHOTOSYNTHESIS thing (take that for caps)...

Only concern yourself with the top 12-20 inches of your plants.. depending on how dense your foilage is and if you are using side lighting.. even when using multiple 1000 watt HID's.. in a dense growth situation.. no foilage below the top 12 inches produces anything substantial..

I am hoping my outdoor plant will get its but in gear! seems like its at a stand still, the big fan leaves are drooping but the others are growing good, no more bannannas today I think that they were seeds, because every time I would touch them they fell off. who knows right??? good luck with your baby clone too, I have yet to be able to get that down they all seem to die!

last nights weather was disaster i woke at 2am to get dressd go outside in the storm and put my plant in the shed for safety

and bugs are eating my plant up tuesday (wen hydro shop opens) im buying some neem spray to kill the little fucks and i might get some pk13-14 :P

and i brought some canna pk 13 14 after reading good reviews but only use 3 weeks before end of harvest wich is a problem because i duno wen the last 3 weeks will be !!

I have been unable to finish of this diary of my plant for the last year but i have decided to come back and show the final product


During the drying out period i had it all hanging in a cupboard of my room with a fan an slight heat .
Finally i cured all my bud in an airtight container for 4 weeks making the smoke perfect.

Sorry for the time it has taken for me to do this any comments feedback would be nice

unfortionetly i didnt grow this year but i will be next summer now i own my own house with nice garden lol :jointsmile:

UNfortionetly the clone did not survive :( To small and Weak to go into Budding Tragic Loss.

My plants were Grown Outdoors From Germination Never Enterd The house till drying and cutting stage.

I plan on Having another go For the Year now as its to late to join in now.
I have a new big garden with Trees alround meaning nice n safe :D
will be good to do another diary and try bigger and better .
