Read Stephen King's On Writing, and William Strunk Jr's The Elements of Style.

At least read On Writing, even if you're not particularly interested in Stephen King's usual Fiction/Cheesy Horror novels, he is a veritable expert of the written word.. His advice in On Writing will help any aspiring or conscientious writers, without the usual 12 syllable words, complex sentences and indecipherable termonology that makes people drop a book faster than you can say onomatopoeia. hmm i love to write, but hate to read, well books atleast. Is it really worth reading it? And what exactly is it about? Thanks

Well if you like writing then you should read it, if youre a beginner writer of course (by that i mean someone who eithyer only writes as a hobby or hasnt got the courage to put their ideas on paper yet), but also, if you wanna be a writer, you should probably read ALOT

anyway, On Writing is half auto-biographry, half writing guide book.

its basically stephen king talkin first about his childhood, and then his adult life, to show how people can bwecome writers, and then the last half of the bok is his advice to anyone who wants to become a writer, but it says alot of stuff that most books of the same kind are afraid to say or dont say for other reasons, if you wanna be a writer i suggest you read it :) its helped me alot!
