Lately I've been listening to 2pac, I used to listen to him a few years back when I was younger never understood what he was talking about, didn't like the way he rapped or anything, his music just didnt appeal to me at all but I was 12 back then and my mom bought me the CD so I didn't care.
Well a few months back I was cleaning my room, found the his "All eyez on me" album, so I hoped on my computer DL a few of his most popular songs and started listening to him, It was cool because you could tell he had two sides; one side was his depressed side, where he seen his people killing each other and seen how the country had this set-up for the people that live in it, which I believe, and his second side; where he was dissing all the people that was against him and the all the haters, rapping about the good sides of the gutter, and I guess the good things, so all together he rapped about the good and bad things of life. A few of his songs that appeal to me,Changes,I ain't mad at cha, smile, keep ya head up,weed got me crazy, dear momma,so many tears, life goes on.
His lyrics, and his style is insane, In changes.. wow.. thats got to be the greatest song of his.. heres apart. "I see no changes, wake up in the morning and I ask myself, is life worth living should I blast myself? I'm tired of being poor and even worst I'm black, my stomach hurts so I'm looking for a purse to snatch cops give a damn about a negro, pull a trigger kill a nigga hes a hero, give crack to kids who the hell cares one less hungry mouth for the welfere, first ship em dope let them deal the brother, give them guns step back watch them kill each other"[b]. That part of the song just makes you think, and if think well 2pac isn't poor.. he was rich, well he didnt write this song talking about himself, he wrote it for everyone else to understand how fucked up it is out there in the streets, but thats my opinion. When you look at 2pac and compare him to other of todays artists he makes them look so bad... because they sing about how bad they are, and nothing else, about how much money they got, about hoes and stupid shit like that. Don't get me wrong 2pac had his songs, but he only needed a few to show how bad he was lol, and he stayed in the ghetto, the gutter while the rest of the rappers are pussy and living in there safe neighbor hoods, and must have body guards.. I never seen 2pac once with one. Well I'm not talking about must artists but I think 2pac is godly compared to some.
And the "7 day theory" must people say thats hes still alive, because how he predicted death, but I mean comon.. he was in ghetto where he seen his friends and brothers get killed, he was born and raised in this shit, it's simple to predict it if you see all the people dieing around you.. its just he knew that he would die that way, if he stayed in it.. and he stayed and he died.
After listening to his songs, and reading his lyrics, I do think this country is set up.. but too just explain it would take forever on all the shit they do..
But in some way I do feel like me and 2pac as the same, in some areas, he grew up without his dad, and the man that was raising him was sen't to prison or jail, well my I'm growing up without my dad also, my dad was sen't to prison for drugs, and drug selling, bakc when I was little around 11 years old, didn't even get to know who the real person my dad was, and now hes becomming a stranger more and more everyday because I'm growing and I'm seeing the world for what it really is, but now im 16, turing 17 in october and lifes pretty ruff, my moms working at a retail store, making 5.15 an hour, shes always losing jobs, were on welfere and the only family we have is my grandma we all live together to survive I guess and to get by, my mom gets a welfere check, for not much so about $350 every 2 weeks off her job and about $300 a month welfere check aint much, with me and my two brothers, it sucks don't get things bought for you, so I cant get a job because I ain't got rides to work because my mom is always at work, and she needs her car to get around.. So I listen to 2pac, and read about him and how he got by when he was younger he sold drugs and he was a hustler, so that gives me an idea to make some money so we can get without getting the lights cut off or water getting cut off here and then, right now were hanging on till the first so we can stop eating peanut butter sandwhiches and eating this nasty ass caned food, but yea, life sucks, cryings not gonna help anything, just keep ya head and stay strong just a few things 2pac's music teaches you, and I guess thats why I like his music so much, because he wen't throught the same shit I'm going through and he gets my respect because of that, and he inspires me everyday.
So heres a little something for you, If you don't like 2pac, you haven't listened to him, If you have your either rasist or you just don't like rap, because you perfer to go death because of all the metal you listen too, or maybe your just a hater or just the random internet thug punk, so if you hate on me or 2pac heres his little saying for you [B]ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME
those who like him, tell me why, any good songs you'd like to point out for me, or teach me anything else about 2pac that I don't know, thanks later.
