Surprisingly, no one in my family knows yet, and I been toking in my room for awhile now. I pretty much don't even cover up or hide the smoke, I used to use a doob tube but I'm pretty lax about it now.

I figure I'm 19 and consider myself a "responsible" toker. I know the history and the "truth" about weed, and if I'm ever caught red-handed I won't lie, I'll be honest and try to tell them the truth about it too. Hey, if they don't like it I'll be getting my own apartment in a few years anyways.

I usually lie about it when I'm with a group of friends who are anti-weed anti-drugs (though they seem like two completely different categories to me). Like one time I threw a house party when the rents were gone, I was about to bust out my 5 foot bong (see profile pic! :stoned: ) and toke up but a group of girls who were there started talking about how weed's disgusting and how after smoking it you "look" like a druggie and shit. Fucking ignorant as hell but I planned on hooking up with one of them later, so I left the bong in the closet for later. :thumbsup:

As far as people that I encounter at work and such, they know I'm a stoner, but I don't cause any harm, so it's not a problem, as for my mom, she used to hate pot, but since I've talked to her about the harms and problems that come with other drugs, she's cool with me smoking. But if tobacco and alcohol were illegal, then there would be too many people living and happily smoking pot in America, and god knows that we couldn't have potheads being friendly to each other, because then people would realize that people don't die from smoking pot, and it wouldn't be frowned upon as much.

For example, like when my parents want to talk to me, its always mysteriously when I am done smoking and I'm pretty blazed. I'm still 100% conscious of my actions even though I am high. I'm like "I can't. I'm busy!", or when they wanted to check out my bed frame because they were gonna get me a new bed, and I keep my pipe right beneath my bed and so I told them I do need a new bed. And believe me I need a new bed! I hated doing that.

It sucks, but its the sacrifice you take. Actually, if weed was legal I wouldn't have to go through this bullshit!! My parents would just take the weed away and give me a spiel. My mom used to be a dealer way back in the day.

I have been smoking for awhile now, and I have kept it a secret from my parents. If they found out they would kill me. (not literally, but you know what I mean) So the only time I ever smoke is either when im out with my friends, wen I'm by myself at my house, i either toke up in the bathroom or out back. A few years back my mom found weed in my brothers truck and freaked out and flushed it down the toilet. He was practically disowned from the family once everyone knew that he smoked, and he never came around anymore, and he hardly ever talked to my parents. Right about the time its out, and someone wants to cite it being illegal...remind them they sped through a light, or didn't come to a complete stop...let them know that you didn't judge them when they cheated on their taxes. Or maybe they had one drink too many and got behind the wheel anyway. Younger folk, living under the roof of their parent (s) do indeed routinely face 'My house...my rules'...so don't do it in the house. Find a respectful way around their rules.

Its marijuana folks...a thing that a great many cultures throughout the ages of humankind have utilized for various motivations. From getting high, to healing the sick, to raising a sail...marijuana and its derivitives have a much longer history than even the oldest of cultures, let alone any enacted law regarding it.
