think it'd be worth getting a Bass? I know a tiny bit of guitar, tho I don't like it b/cuz every other person plays the guitar, I'm a drummer and have been for quite some time.. but I'd like to start playin the bass

think it'd be worth getting, and learning?.. none of my friends have 1, so I cant try one out b4 I buy 1

Ive been playing bass for about 4 years now. It's an easy instrument to play, but extremely hard instrument to master. In a few days ill post one of my bands new songs. Its about 14 minutes long though..

Oh I know the list can go on and on, but Victor is just so funky.

Claypool is a damn good slapper too, with style comin' out the ass!

I know what your saying about Wooten, hes unbelievable. But nothing will ever be able to top me seeing Stanley Clarke play "School Days" for free back in 99. THEN being able to run into him as he walked down the streets of Wilmington to his hotel. Great time. :D

I play bass... And yes, in some respects its easier then guitar, in others its alot more difficult.

Slap bass is something to look into once your a good player... its not easy.

It's a case of building your speed up.

If you want to learn, go for it, but get a cheap one to learn on.

Dont bother though if you think your gunna give up. It's the whole thing of learning, as soon as you can play its awesome, but its rather frustrating learning.

I been playing about 8 years and a few months now, and i can play pretty much anything... and its all about practise.

i've been playing bass for about 3 years and i would say i'm average, maybe slightly below, but i don't really push myself to learn new stuff and stick to easy/moderate songs for the most part. like someone up there said, its easy to learn, hard to master, but i guess that goes with anything. practice is the main key. i think guitar is more fun to play than bass, but everyone and their mom plays guitar.

dont give up the guitar just cause other people play it man........i'd say just start being more creative with your guitar cause it sounds like you're looking into bass for the wrong reasons and wouldnt really stick with it
